Singing Along with My New Echo in VA

I purchased one for myself and 3 others as Christmas gifts this year! It’s small and mighty and the sound is great! Plus the set up is super easy. I would highly recommend it!

They can see me when I call, listen to music, check the weather, add to lists, all while lying right in the bed and not lifting a finger! We love it!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade from an Alexa Echo dot to something with a screen, since I'm planning to buy later on Ring Doorbells, more cameras and things to connect at home, setup was easy to do, starting to hear music was good, really good speakers, however I was starting to find out that the response time to do anything is a long time, it takes Alexa several seconds to process and reply, something that before it was almost instant so not sure if this is something that is related to Alexa Echo with screens, there is also a serious delay when using the touchscreen so that was disappointing as well, if you have the chance I would go on a tier above, to the 8" screen on a sale

Here are some steps to help speed things up: 1. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength — since Alexa processes voice commands through the cloud, a weak or congested Wi-Fi connection can cause noticeable delays. Try moving the device closer to your router or reducing the number of devices competing for bandwidth on your network. 2. Restart your Echo Show 5 by unplugging it from power, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. This clears temporary data that may be slowing down performance. 3. Make sure your device software is up to date by going to Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates. Software updates often include performance improvements that can reduce response times. 4. If you're using a dual-band router, try connecting the Echo Show 5 to your 5 GHz band, which typically offers faster speeds and less interference than the 2.4 GHz band.
