Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have many Amazon devices and I find that the echo show devices don’t hear or listen as well and always want to do something on their own when you’re not even using it I haven’t been a fan of most screen include included Amazon device devices I prefer the echo dot.

I have some recommendations to try and help. First, I recommend ensuring the device has the latest software by asking Alexa to check for updates or by going to settings, then device options, and then checking for updates. I also recommend ensuring the microphone is not muted, indicated by a red light on top of the device. White cord with black Echo ....

Why Amazon would do this is crazy. I haven't set it up yet but I figure it sets up just like the other Echo(s) I have and have set up, which was fairly easy.
