I love that you can play youtube videos as well, and i can just ask alexa to play it. Worth the money.

Much better than the 1st generation and much faster. It still has its glitches here and there but overall great so far. I would like a higher megapixel camera though.

A screen that keeps going out can indicate a hardware defect or power supply problem. Try unplugging the device for 30 seconds and plugging it back in, ensure it's using the original power adapter, and check that the firmware is up to date through Settings. If the screen continues to malfunction after these steps, exchanging the unit is the right decision as this appears to be a hardware issue.
