It was a breeze to set up. I just hope that it's that easy to use the phone feature as we haven't tried it yet, so I'll have to get back to you on that.

We have 3 in the house, so we know what to expect. Anyway, this one has a delayed response in both action and vocals. I’m not very happy with her and she may be going back.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help improve responsiveness: ensure your Echo Show 5 has a strong internet connection as connectivity issues can cause delays, restart the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds then plugging it back in, check for software updates in Settings > Device Options > System Updates, ensure the device isn't placed near sources of interference like routers or other electronics, and try moving the device to a different location to see if Wi-Fi signal strength improves. This allows my wife to quickly see who’s at the door or if movement is detected, too. Add to it all the functionality of an Amazon Echo and its a hit! Screen is crisp and sound clear.

It displays the time nicely when not in use and little kids love it because you can say "Alexa, what sound does a lion make?" She will show a picture of a lion with the sound it makes. There are o many features, so far I'm loving it!

Posted .Hello ChaChaChau! I am terribly sorry to hear that your device is dropping internet connection now after 8 months of not having any issues with it. I would recommend a few paths to try to fix this. First, you can try to test your network connection. You can do this by swiping down from the top and navigating to Settings>Network then tapping the "i" next to your Wi-Fi setting. In here, you can see if you have a strong connection. If you don't then you can tap Forget and then try to reconnect to it. (Be sure you know your Wi-Fi password before tapping forget.) If this doesn't resolve it, you can swipe down and navigate to Settings>Device Options>Check for Software Updates. This ensures that you have the latest update to address any bugs that may have happened. If neither of these work, then I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to explore further options and troubleshooting available to you.
