I don't use it much for anything other than my Ring camera, my house is mainly setup with Google, but for $40 you can't go wrong. I like how I tell Alexa I'm leaving and it will notify you by picking up the sound of broken glass. A few times I've forgotten to tell her I'm home and set it off by dropping my keys on the table. I'm actually thinking of getting the 8 or 10 inch Alexa screen, a speaker and seeing how well it runs my lights and everything compared to Google. Alexa products are so much more affordable so it's hard to get turned away but Google does seem to be a bit more responsive to requests when using voice.

I purchased this as a gift for my in-laws and they love it. I set it up for them while visiting and taught them the basics of how to use it. Very easy to set up and get information. It's very useful in the kitchen when cooking and needing to get instant information about measurement conversions or how long/temp to bake or cook something. Being able to follow along with recipes is great and we love it for playing music too.

I was really amazed at how easy it was to use the Echo Show 5" - it's a perfect size for my desk and I use it while I'm working to ask Alexa questions if I'm doing some research OR if I need to add an appointment reminder. Even after work it is an excellent resource to see recipes OR even find a good movie to watch. Also use Alexa to sync with my phone to call family and friends with facetime.

I bought this for my wife as a kitchen computer/tablet for her to listen to music/podcasts. She can now listen to Spotify, Apple Music, and more while hanging out at our table, or look-up recipes while cooking. It can also be used to set timers and alarms, which have been helpful for both of us while cooking. It also provides me with sports scores, translations, and calculations, too. Pretty nice no-frills computer for the price!

Love how this product especially showing me who’s at the front door or backyard with the ring. We love listening our music every Sunday morning amd having play on every alexa product. I love our gently alarm clock and the availability to verify my calendar and schedule. Love listening to the news or updating me on the weather. Or just watching a video or a movie. Great product. We installed it in the wall.

I love it!! So simple to use… A must have you will not be disappointed.

The Echo Show 5 was easy to set up, especially as we already had other echo devices in the household. The touchscreen works well and is bright enough for a well lite area like a kitchen. The screen is not very large, comparable to a large phone, so while it is fairly good if you are close, it tends to be too small if you are any distance away like when you are cooking. So recipes can be difficult to read, although this is also defendant on the source. The speaker is loud enough, I am certainly not expecting a lot from such a small device. Listening to podcasts and music while working in the kitchen is easy and enjoyable. Spotify works well! The issue I had is not really the fault of the device, but with other companies integrating with it. There is not a lot that I need on this device so the variety is a bit lacking, some of that is on me of course. One thing that I really bought it for was integration with my Ring doorbell and cameras, so I can see who is there, maybe even talk to them as needed. (a handy feature with the Rona) However, the app for Ring will not display any of the cameras! It connects fine with the network and is aware and logged in to Ring, it just spins when connecting to the video of a camera. And this is with Amazon owning Ring! Overall it is a well built and fine device and my disappointment is primarily centered on the Ring app, something that been in their advertising for this product. Still it works well and looks good doing it.

WOW.. This thing is amazing! I’m in love and this isn’t even the newer model.. Lol. I got the Echo Show on sale for $54.99 and it came with a Blink camera! I love being able to tap the top of the Show to snooze the alarm. I’m able to ask Alexa to show my cameras, and view them on the screen! I have Google but Alexa has been my go-to lately. I’m in love!!

Great little size Echo Show. Fits in small areas. I use it in place of a bedroom alarm clock because it has auto dimming and a nice big time display. Avoids the bright light of a LED clock. Also shows weather and news from the bedside and music as desired. I also have it connected to a Ring camera so if it goes off I can see the display right there and hot have to fumble for a cell phone.

The first Echo Show was a round faced alarm clock which was an innovative and cute design but was too small and squinty to put out any useful information. This second generation does a great job in better displaying information, including the night time clock, which comes in handy glancing for the time during the middle of the night. Sounds coming out are superb for something of this size. Rather happy with this investment.

This device is our first step into setting up a smart home,(we have two). It is a super alarm clock music machine. I'm no audiophile, but the sound is impressive from the Show 5. It is a room to room video intercom, turns on the lights, wakes me to beautiful music, and Alexa answers any question I might pose to her. I am very satisfied with this purchase from Best Buy, and it impresses my friends.

Excellent performance and speed easy to install and the speed is great

I have been a fan of the Echo Show since it's first introduction and this newest entry into the family is the bomb! At 5" it's the perfect size for a desk or a bedside table. The sound is very good for this and I enjoy listening to music, news and podcasts. Even better is the night dimming ... which truly makes this ideal as a bedside clock, radio, smart display Jack-of-all-trades!

Good product at an excellent price when on sale. Works good, compact with nice sound.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents to tie into their ring doorbell. They will enjoy the larger screen and the ability to toggle off the camera will please my father who has concerns over privacy. Bought this on Black Friday so the price was right. It was the same price that Amazon was offering so the decision to buy came down to convenience and the bonus of getting Best Buy points made it an easy decision.
