Better than a Echo Dot.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first Show I have purchased. We already had an Echo and dots however there was a sale for Christmas and I got two of these for gifts. One for us. Since we already had Alexa setup took 2 minutes. I do like the seeing versus just hearing. The 5 inch is good for a bedroom but after this and the satisfaction my next show will be a large screen. The sound is good but it still does not beat the echo Gen 2.

Great replacement for alarm clock
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This makes a great alarm clock, allows you to set alarm schedules. Keeps the time on the face at all times. The sound is great so playing music is a bonus. Allows you to see any smart cameras you may have installed, and allows video calls as well, although it's a little small for that, and I think too small for conference calls. Overall a really nice unit for the bedroom.

Life saver
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure about ordering something with such a small screen, but boy was I surprised. This thing fits perfectly on my desk and it exactly what I needed for news headlines, weather, time, music, videos, photos, etc. My productivity has increased dramatically since I don't have to take my hands off my keyboard and reach for my phone to get basic info anymore.

The perfect Echo show for everyone
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Echo show. I have the original 2017 7-inch Echo Show, the new 10-inch Echo Show, and now the 5 inch Echo Show. I love all of these devices, but understand that the standard Echo Show is too big for most people. At 5 inches, you have a sweet Echo Show/Alarm Clock combo that looks and sounds great. I loved them so much I bought one for family members. At $90 MSRP, it much better than the tiny circular Echo Spot.

Very hapoy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got two of these to upgrade from dots. Got them on sale 2 for 1 price. Easy to setup. Was able to scroll photos on them without much effort. I am not a techie person, so that says a lot. Some people find the scrolling items an annoyance, but I don’t sit and stare at the screen, so this is not an issue for me. These units also have a better speaker than the dots, so I do not have to use external speakers.

Nice upgrade to the Echo Dot
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has a pretty nice screen for video. Weather, for example, comes out with graphics which is nice and the price was good. You can display several different backgrounds, alarms are visual, and it dims at night. Decent sound for a small device. My only issue right now is that it scrolls "suggestions" which I'd like to stop but I haven't figured out how to do it. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

Show 5
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Echo Show 5. I didn't want another Show 8 as it would be too large for my nightstand. I use the alarm feature, the notification feature as well as talking to someone upstairs from the living room. I also listen to music using both of my Echo Shows. It would have been better if it came with a stand instead of having to buy one separately. Works as advertised.

Flexible and Useful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These little guys are pretty much plug and play and can serve as an alarm clock, kitchen timer and recipe finder, alarm clock and desk clock. In addition to these roles, you can communicate with it and control all of your Alexa capable smart lights and devices. Even the sound is not bad but if you need more, just link it to your favorite ear blasters via Bluetooth.

Great for video calling!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these when they were on sale and I'm so glad I did! I got them for the sole purpose of being able to talk/see my son's Grandmother during the quarantine phase of Covid-19. Very easy to set up, even Grandma was able to learn how to video call quickly. It's small enough that it doesn't take up a lot of space and the screen size if perfect for the bedroom. Good buy!

So much more than an alarm clock!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the echo devices and this one is no exception. We needed a new alarm clock and with cyber Monday type sales, the echo show was comparable to other digital alarm clocks. Yet it offers so much more! We use our echos with our Amazon music subscription to play unlimited music though out our home. We have WiFi lights for a more smart home. We love it!

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this more often than my Apple home pod mini. Love the screen and the easy setup. I use it most often for playing music. I like the option to be able to video call people through it. However, the other party needs to have an echo show as well and unfortunately, none of my family has one. Maybe it's time to buy some as gifts for them.

Replaced my alarm clock for the better
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device. Added another Alexa device in my home. Used it to replace my alarm clock. Setting all sorts of routines now to turn lights on and off. Video and audio quality are not bad at all. This was a much better option for me than the larger Echo Show that came out before this. The ability to manually shut off the camera on this was a great move as well. No complaints whatsoever. Great product.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great bedside replacement for the spot, and an alarm clock. Sound quality is good, but most importantly the screen goes even dimmer than my alarm clock numbers, while still displaying everything it normally would. Did i mention that it does thate automatically? Its a great option! I would recommend the 8 or 10 if not using bedside however, as the additional screen real estate really helps.

Cute little thing.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cute little thing. way too "chatty" for me. I had to turn off a lot of the "Features" for the home screen information. Pros: 1. cheap. eas on sale for under $40 if you buy two, around $45 for one. 2. does a few things the Google hub doesn't! like view and answer my ring doorbell and act as additional door chime which is nice. 3. you can talk to "Alexa" a little more neutral. no need for a long pause after the "Alexa" keyword as you have too with "Hey Google" on the google hub. Cons: 1. depends on having Amazon prime, and has to be linked to it. not only this could be expansive for someone who doesn't need amazon prime for anything else, but a security risk. if someone get a hold of this, they can start ordering on your account! 2. not using voice authentication! after setting it up with my smart lock, went out side and screamed "Alexa, open the front door". from outside... it did! you can set a passcode on it for door lock, but then what's the point of the voice command. security devices and amazon orders should only respond to authenticated or use recognized voices.! 3. very slow to respond. if you tell it "Alexa turn the light on" will take long enough that if you said while walking into a dark room, you will have to stand there and wait for a bit. 4. completely dependent on internet connection. this is not really a hub. a hub work internal via local wifi, bluetooth, zigbee or something else. and it will work even if the internet cuts out. 5. sound is not neutral at all. especial if it sits directly on a flat surface. 6. screen quality is so-so. like an old picture frame... the google hub show photos in a much higher quality.

Replace the digital alarm clock
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keeping up with the Joneses. When my alarm clock stopped functioning the echo show was a perfect replacement. I can set my alarm, play music, listen to a podcast, get the weather while I’m getting ready for work with just my voice. It’s linked to my ring security system also to give me peace of mind and get alerts.

Nice!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s actually the rectangular version of Spot but better I assume in terms of viewing angle. Sound is good for its size with EQ to suit your taste. And it’s cheaper.

Very good
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just the right size. I used this to communicate with my kids by using the drop in action. My kindergarten also have used it for their school. She asked Alexa for help on how to read a word by spelling the word to Alexa and Alexa was able to help. It’s a cool gadget to have in this time of age. You can do so many things. This is a good buy.
