I bought this to use it along with my Ring video door bell and it works like a charm. The sound quality is good considering its size.

Works well to do simple tasks without linking to telephone. Play music for free and set timers for cooking. Also will give temperatures in different cities and sundown information. There are many tasks that can be done.

I prefer the round Echo Spot (for shape and style) but the Show 5 does make for a nice bedside alarm clock. Easy to set up and nice to just tell it what time to set the alarm rather than trying to read buttons, etc. to set an alarm.

I love having this echo in my kitchen. When I'm cooking, I'm able to see who at my door. Great way to ignore people.
