Having the screen adds a lot to the Amazon Echo experience. For example, seeing the 5-day weather forecast or seeing the lyrics to songs really is helpful. I also like the auto-dimming feature that works great in the bedroom.

Nice sound quality and video charity. The screen scratches easily, so I ordered glass screen saver on Amazon.

Purposely got the smaller screen model for a black friday sale. The speaker on this thing unfortunately is pretty bad. Its very muffled when its sitting directly on top of the night stand. Since the speaker appears to be bottom firing, lifting it up and/or buying the stand to elevate does help. Also adjusting the audio settings by turning down the bass and turning up the treble also helps. Surprisingly, even the small Echo Dot has better audio clarify when Alexa is responding with answers or command confirmations. Very surprised they didn't put a better speaker on this but for it being a night stand item, I can't complain too much.
