Having a screen really adds to the experience. Weather now displays hourly and weekly forecast when prompted. Displays recommended videos or news of interest but doesn’t always seem to be what I like, though many interesting ones are offered. The sound leaves a bit to be desired as it’s a half notch above 3rd gen echo dot but good enough for our bedroom.

Nice little echo

I actually prefer the Echo Show 5 to the Echo Show 8 models that I own. They seem to be more reliable and have less issues with them. Every once in a while, the back ground I have set will reset to something else. While this is slightly cumbersome, its not a deal breaker for me
