We replaced our old alarm clocks with an echo show 5, and it has worked great.

Once i figured out how to get it linked to the internet and linking to My Ring security system it is great. Instructions are minimal and not very helpful.

I use this every day. I love that I can just slap it to snooze. Wish it could act as a Bluetooth speaker tho. I am getting hard of hearing in my ripe old age of 43 and would like my bedroom tv’s audio to play though it because it is right next to my head. Also it is the only Alexa I have that can fast forward through news flash items.

My family loves Alexa-enabled devices. We love being able to talk to Alexa and asking her about internet based information, but also to ask her to control other devices in our home. We also have 7-year-old twin grandsons who love asking Alexa to do "research" for them, including looking for the trailers for old Godzilla movies. The "smart display" on this device is great, and we're looking for to upgrades in the future! We wish it was a little cheaper, but we bought it on sale so we're thankful about that.

Same Alexa service, but great audio and a display. This was obtained through a promotion on Black Friday so I don’t know that I would necessarily buy the 5” over the larger 8” display. However, if you’re looking for the Show model and don’t necessarily care about the display size this is a good choice. The audio is loud and maintains good levels.

Very practical. Sounds good, and the volume is great for the size of the device. My wife loves it. She uses it daily while cooking.

Works well. Gives notification of Amazon deliveries. So many skills you can enable. Sometimes overwhelming. It is definitely listening even if the mic is off. To test it, talk about a random subject/topic/item/product that you have never talked about and watch as your prime account magically suggest a related product within a few hours.

I know there are many uses for this product. For now, i am using it for music in the kitchen. I hooked it up with the free Pandora trial that came with it. I can focus on a different artist every day for a nice variety of music. The show gives me song title and singer for each song being played. I can also expand on its other features as I get more comfortable with the product.
