We previously had the Echo Spot and needed something to replacement. This was a great choice. The screen size is just right and super convenient to use in the kitchen.

I have three of these along with an echo dot and just bought the big Echo Show with a 10.5 in screen for the kitchen. I have bought a bunch of the smart light bulbs and Outlets and even an item that I installed on our garage door it's fantastic I can open my automatic garage door through Alexa or close it and it lets me know if it's opened by sending me a alert. The more you talk to her the more she learn what you're trying to say to her and what you want.. heck you can even start your coffee pot and not even be at home turn your lights on or off from anywhere through the Alexa app love this stuff thank you will be buying more LOL

Alexa, plus an alarm clock. It’s the best of both worlds. I have this paired with the sound bar in my bedroom and it’s awesome. I would definitely recommend it!

I really enjoy having this screen, I replaced Echo and now I pull up images from the ring doorbell and sing along with lyrics from songs I am streaming. This is a must buy, especially at 50.00

Easy to use. Really like the screen as i can make calls over it. Also look things up with ease. Allows me.to connect with my "ring" devices so i can view on this screen.

This Echo Show came bundled with our recent purchase of the Ring Doorbell Pro. My family and I were a little apprehensive with letting Amazon and Google into our living space with voice activated devices. So far this Amazon Echo Show has been a delightful addition and makes things easier around the kitchen and dining area. Not only can you pull up attached security cameras like Ring Doorbell and Ring Spotlight Cameras, it also allows you to pull up your Amazon Prime videos, play music through Apple iTunes account and random search questions. We are still discovering what this little device can do and already planning on getting another (larger) Echo Show for the bedroom.

I own the show eight and the show 10 . I found a special piece for this 5 inch device and I’m glad I bought it.The Screen is easy to read and the sound is good

I should not have waited so long to make this purchase... I keep this one in my bedroom and it has spoiled me... Alarm clock, Music to sleep by, News weather and jokes.

Large enough to see what needs to be seen. It was priced right as well. Setup wasn't as easy as anticipated but did get it connected to a Ring doorbell and Alexa.

I really like the new echo show 5. It is the right size for the bedroom to view videos or security cameras, but not so big it looks out of place. Great sound as well. I actually have 2 of these.

Love the compact size vs the original Echo Show, and the larger screen than the Echo Spot. Sounds great, works great, nothing to not like about it, especially getting it on sale for 49.99.

I love this item. You can use it to call other people that have Alexa. I great way to stay updated with family and friends. Im planning on purchasing this as a gift to family.

It's the same as the other Shows, just smaller. It's like a smartphone. The fonts are bit small, which can be adjusted. Overall great features and I got it for free, as part of a bundle. The screen is bright and the images are clean. It's nice to have the screen and camera, instead of just the speaker. Especially, if you have products that are compatible with the Shows, and they use the video feature. The only thing would be the screen. It would be great for bedroom, since the screen is small and won't cast too much light, while you sleep. Which again, can be adjusted or turned off, using the "Do Not Disturb" feature.

My review is lower than some because the main feature I bought this for, is actually the WORST feature of the Echo Show 5. I bought this for video chatting in my office with coworkers, mainly, with some video chatting with family. While it does do very well as a side clock and for many normal "Alexa tasks", a design flaw makes it very irritating for video calls. Note: On the ten inch Echo Show, and the small round Echo Spot, the web cams are placed right above their screens in the CENTER of the device. Not so with the Echo Show 5 - if you look, the web cam is on the upper-right of the device. Now, as small as this is, you would think this makes little difference, but when you are actually making a video call, the shift of the web cam location makes it appear to the person on the other end as though you are sitting on the left side of the camera (not centered). You can easily see this in the self-view in the upper right during a call (see included photo). So, you have to turn the whole device about 30 degrees in order for you to appear centered to the other party, but of course then, you are having to look at the device at an angle. VERY odd. Everyone I've tested it out on so far has commented on it. In terms of using it as a clock, it's just fine (though expensive just for a clock). The mics are fine and pick up your voice well for other Alexa commands. The speaker is only ok, but good enough for casual use. The screen though lower in resolution is ok for a device this small, though (note there is no youtube app in it however - you have to open a web browser on it to watch youtube videos). Again however, my review is based mostly on it's poor camera placement causing video calling to be poorly done and since that is my main reason for using it, that's the reason for the "fair" rating. One last side note: There was a problem during installation where the Show 5 had to do some updates and got stuck in the "Loading" screen for 45 minutes. I called Amazon tech support who confirmed this was not normal and even after trying every step they could think of, it kept doing it. They were about to send me a new unit, saying this was defective, but on my own, I unplugged it, and then the moment it started coming back up, it kept swiping my finger from the top of the screen, down (to bring up a menu)... after two attempts this did take the unit back to a pre-updating state, THEN it updated correctly, etc. Just something to try if yours gets stuck. Conclusion: If you have zero interest in video chatting with this, your rating and opinion with this will no doubt be higher, as the other functions seem to work fine. But if using it for video calls is at all important to you, I'd suggest buying the larger 10 inch Echo Show, or if you can handle a tiny screen, the small round Echo Dot.

I love the Echo Show. I keep it on my nightstand as an alarm and occasionally to listen to music. I also like how it shuffles through my pictures on the display.

Great product. I'm thinking about getting the larger screen ( echo show 8) for another room in the house. I mostly use to view cameras and control Wi-Fi LED lights.

I love this Amazon echo show. It is the perfect size fir my nightstand. Its a great alarm clock and i love waking up and finding out the weather outside and also being abke to raise my heat in the house as well before getting out of bed.

Bought this to use for an alarm clock. Love how you can tell it to turn off the display (to keep the room dark while trying to sleep). It’s also great not having to reach over to hit snooze. You can verbally tell it to snooze for however many minutes you want. It did take a while to learn how to use it. Setting my pictures for the background pictures hasn’t been easy. I almost returned it because I was frustrated with trying to figure out how it works. Once I got the hang of it I liked this so much I purchased an Echo 8 for the kitchen counter. The display quality on both are beautiful.

These things are great! This is the sixth one I've bought for family. It's amazing the sound that comes out of such a small device. Small footprint, big features.

I’m really enjoying the Alexa show 5. The sound quality is great. The Amazon Echo Show 5 is the best and Newest Artificial Intelligence device. As we are all dealing with issues due to the coronavirus most of us have been Home. The Echo show 5 does more than tell you the weather, time, etc. The intelligence Device learn you as you learn it. Alexa will start to recognize your voice and Your daily routines such as The route to your job or destination and if there is traffic, Wake you up at your set time, Alexa also Offer hand free Calls That's right just Say "Alexa make a Call " And You would Say the Number or Contact .
