Time doesn't stay on all the time

It cycles through screens like, weather, news & time rather than just the time. I have tried searching for a way to change the display so it just remains on the clock but haven't found a way to do so. I am not sure if it is by design so the screen doesn't burn in the image of the numbers or what. Other than that it's great and I like the ability to "Drop In" on the device.

I have 7 echo dots and have my house automated but.i recently decided I want to have the video capability so I purchased a Show 8 and this Show 5. Wow...do I love it...it takes smart speaker to the next level....I can easily see replacing my Echo dots with the shows .

Just what I was looking for!

I originally bought it as an night table clock (which it is still there), but it had turned into a go to hub for me. My favorite part is when someone rings my smart doorbell, it connects and shows my a live feed of it! I would definitely recommend!
