Time doesn't stay on all the time

It cycles through screens like, weather, news & time rather than just the time. I have tried searching for a way to change the display so it just remains on the clock but haven't found a way to do so. I am not sure if it is by design so the screen doesn't burn in the image of the numbers or what. Other than that it's great and I like the ability to "Drop In" on the device.

Great night stand clock but no Hulu or Netflix
