I really do like this item I was glad that I brought it works with my alarm system and send formative and it looks good next to my bed I want to get the stand to go with it next so it was a really good bye and I'm glad that I brought a from Best Buy.

I am pleasantly surprised and happy with the Echo Show 5 Gen 1. It's about $10 cheaper than Gen 2 but my research showed that aside from a better megapixel camera they are basically identical and the Gen 1 keeps the 3.5mm audio jack. I purchased to use for video calls with family while one was in a nursing home for rehabilitation. I currently have the Echo 1, Echo Plus 1, Dots a Gen 2 Echo Show 10 refurb and this is actually nice with video over the other Echo's but enjoy them all.

Controls everything. Add your pictures and you have a digital picture frame. Ask it a question and it gives answers. A must have

I like the feel and look of Alexa. Whole new look and feel than the standard smaller versions. Unobtrusive than bigger version, just right.

Nice device! Interaction is better since the device has a screen and shows you what she’s talking about. Love it!

Absolutely love this thing. Take an echo dot add a video screen and multiply it's awesomeness x 100 then you have the echo show!

Great device. Connects my whole home with easy setup, and even automatically adds my blink cameras after initial account link.

Very useful, I put in my bedroom and there’s a switch to turn off camera. It accommodates with light and gets dark screen.

We have the Show 1 and 2 and loved them so much I got two baby ones smaller areas. Worked out perfect.

I have several Echo dots and a larger Echo Show in the living room. I put this 5 inch Show on my wife's nightstand and she loves it. She uses it as an alarm clock, music player and sleep sounds.

Overall, I like the device. However, it’s quite small for viewing recipes, but perfect for listening to music while cooking and seeing who’s at your front door by way of your Ring.

The sound quality is perfect. I love it. Connect to my ring doorbell with no problem.

My kids can’t get enough of this thing. I have one in each room and they just have conversations with each other from room to room. It’s very helpful with timers, alarms, calls, and reminders. Love it!

I had the Echo speaker (2nd edition) and dot with clock already. Added the Show because I wanted to do video calls with family. Well I love it! It's so easy to do the calls and love the drop in feature. Love seeing info on the screen now when Alexa responds to questions or requests. The ability to choose the clock face with so many options was a nice touch. Great choice to upgrade from the dot.

I love this new Alexa echo device . You can have video calls with other people on them . But the most handy for me is using it as a video monitor for my new camera secruity system . I highly suggest getting one of these for mant reasons . Did i mention you can play Jeopardy on it ?!

I received this product, free, for buying the Ring Pro Doorbell. My home has already been setup with Google Home. So, this is the first Alexa product I have ever owned. Currently, I have the Echo Show on my desk. Since I work from home, it comes in handy when someone rings the door bell or if I receive the notification that someone is approaching. I can ask Alexa to display the front door and the video feed will pop-up. That is the only function that I use it for. It's the only function I would want to use it for, to be honest. The sound quality is poor in my opinion, and I'm comparing it to all of the other google smart displays and speakers that I currently have. I have the google hub and in comparison the sound on the echo is subpar. It has a very deep tone and i would describe the sound as muffled. I have adjusted the bass and treble settings and it doesn't do much to improve the sound quality. The only way I can explain the sound is if you're and older person and you remember how the radios had only a "tone" dial, before treble and bass dials were factors on radios/stereos and the dial was turned all the way to minus (-). That's how this unit sounds. So, for that reason I give it an average rating of 3 stars. Perhaps mine is defective. I don't know, as this is the only echo/amazon/alexa device i own and I'm not too invested in the Amazon eco system to return it for another. It was free and I appreciate the gesture and will use it for the reason I stated above. If you're thinking of paying money for this product, I would look into getting something that is a step up from this or invest in a different smart AI eco system.

I purchased Amazon Echo for my friends and family so that we can stay in contact doing the pandemic. I love this device. I have one in my room and in my kitchen. I have learned many options on how to use it from Bluetooth to my TVs, grocery list, calls, etc. if you want a inexpensive device to stay in contact with family this isn’t he device for you.

My kids just love it!! Perfect to wake up then. Listen music and watch videos.
