I’m an Alexa family, So when I thought a new ‘non iPhone alarm,’ I went to the Echo Show. It’s small size fits perfect on a nightstand and it does everything Alexa does on the other devices. The speaker isn’t great for music but does the job if accept its limitations. I use Alexa driven Sonos speakers for music but my Show is used like an old school alarm clock. The display is nice and pictures are crisp. I like how easy it is to access my smart cams from the Echo Show. Highly recommend but would consider the larger screen size if using in a larger room.

Great quality picture, very good output audio but Alexa gets confused about the commands. We ask for something and we get answers completely different, not what we ask. I can see who’s at my door because it’s paired with Ring, I like that feature a lot.

I never knew that I needed one of these until I saw my sisters & now I use it everyday. Mostly for music, which by the way sounds excellent. Also for my alarm to wake up my daughter & my ambient music player to lull me to sleep. I ask it questions a few times such as weather or looking for a certain verzuz battle that I want to recap. Only thing I worry about is that I bring it outside to my patio and I am scared it will get knocked over and break the screen. Might need to look into a kid proof padding for mine- lol.

I got this as a free as a ad on with another Ring purchase. I really enjoy this little device. It took me awhile to get it coordinated with all of my Echo devices. The speaker is great and I really like using it to see who is at my Ring doorbell. It also will show you recipes and lots of other things. The screen is pretty small so I now want the larger version. I added photos to the screen but something happened so that they got very dark and hard to see so I turned that off. I had no idea that I would enjoy this so much.

I have 5 of these throughout the house, love the screen size and sound quality Great if you have a ring/eufy video doorbell or a home camera system

I am not able to provide a review of the Amazon-Echo Show 5 Smart Display with Alexa since I did not set it up at the time I had set up the Ring camera on my phone. When I went to set up the Smart Display it did not take a charge , did not turn on ... I am not sure if that is how I received it at the time of purchase or due to my lateness in trying to charge it and setting it up. I am not tecnologically inclined so I am at a loss :(

I already had an Echo Dot 3rd gen in my house and i loved it. I was able to control my Xbox and a few lights i had set up with some switches. Now with the Echo Show 5 i can complete the same tasks but ill have a visual Confirmation as well. Sound is similar to the Echo dot and since i live in a small place i dont need anything crazy as far as speakers. I honestly dont use 70% of this device though. I got it because it was on sale with the Ring purchase but i would say that the screen makes a difference so if you are deciding one or the other go with this one.

Replaced my echo spot with one of these for the bigger screen. I like having it on my night stand and quickly be able to look at my ring cameras

I have purchased a bunch of these, both 5" and 8" models for our home, and our children/grandchildren. They are so helpful with accessing, information from the internet, getting weather, setting timer in the kitchen, setting reminders of upcoming events, revolving display of photos from my gallery on my phone, ect. Grandchildren love asking Alexa questions and to play music. With dropping feature you can use it as a baby monitor. Almost endless things you can do plus new things always being added.

Very helpful little unit. Use it as alarm, to get weather info, to listen to music. Surprisingly nice sound for such a small unit

At first,​ i was thinking, wow this is small. However, this thing works great. We had the first echo show, and we are very happy with this one. It works great, the sound quality is great, the picture quality is good as well. I was hesitant at first, but now I am really glad we purchased it. It takes up a lot less space on the counter and with the stand you can adjust the camera height.

This first generation echo show gives lots of options in a small package. Lots of features packed in this small, easy to use device. Amazon sells the stand separately, and lots of upgrades to large screen sizes exist. Hard to go wrong with this device

This is a great product for several reasons. First is that it is a great little music player to have in the background while working or playing video games. Second it works incredibly as an alarm clock. Third is that it is great to ask about current events or the weather. Fourth we have it linked to our security cameras so I can just ask it to show them to me if someone is at the door or anyone if I just want to make sure everything is okay outside. Overall incredible product would definitely recommend checking it out!

I have several different Echo’s and love them all. This one is the perfect size for the bedside table. Easy to set up. Great product

Have this echo dot on my night table and is very good to play relaxing music and also look at my front camera.

I replaced the Echo on my office desk with an Echo Show 5. I like the ability to see my Ring cameras instantly from my off site office. I use for quick reminders and word definitions. There are many small office applications that this Echo can be used for. Don't forget music, I run my Echo Show 5 through my computer speakers. We also replaced our night stand alarm clocks with Echo show 5s. I have enjoyed all of the Echo products and this one is no exception.

We have it sitting on our kitchen counter. I like how it scrolls random news stories and other info on the screen, good mix. Also, it puts in text underneath what to say to get it to report on the story. That’s very helpful. Integrates well will other Echo in the room. For whatever reason we like to watch shows on it...even though we have an iPad sitting close by. I think it’s because the sound is so much better. The speaker hole on the bottom and the angle reflect it up to you and is much fuller than an older iPad.

I have owned many "smart speakers" from Apples Siri, google home and the original Amazon echo. But this is the first one that I purchased that has been totally embraced by all my family! we use it to control lights in the living room, our Ring Doorbell and anything else you can think or. Some one is always asking it something. The ease of use is so amazing and the ease of set up is absolutely insane. it was so so easy to set up. I recommend that if youre in the market for a smart devise give this little gem a look. for the price and all is does, its a steal!

Setup and app can be a bit quirky.... but overall worth the money if you can get it on sale. Alexa app can still use some improvements.

Pros: * Useful in Kitchen for hands-free named timers and recipes * Integrates well with other Alexa devices and Fire TV devices * Sound/music is surprisingly high-quality * Works well with Pandora Premium (I haven't tried it with Spotify, Apple Music, or other supported music services) * Nice for hands-free video calls with other Echo and Alexa app users * Convenient for hands-free voice calling * Convenient for controlling many smart home devices * Calendar integration with Google is convenient for me. Cons: * Only integrates with a few video services (Prime and Hulu are the only major ones on the list for video payback directly on the device * Fire TV Recast will sometimes work with video playback on this device. It's not reliable.
