My husband installed these in our walls all over the house & they work great like keypads & with the Alexa apps & our ring alarm. My husband is an IT guy & these are now a part of our home automation. I like the fact that you can close the camera if you want. We are also able to drop in & check on my mom with video & is simple enough for her to use. (Well most of the time)

I’ve started making my home a smart home and this is part of a building block to get things started, simple and easy to use, plug and play design, just follow the onscreen directions and your off and running in no time. Download the Alexa app on your phone and add the skills app for reminders and calendar, your off and running. I would highly recommend this device to anyone.

Easy to use and easy to setup picture quility is good for the money

I purchased this smart display to test out the video calling, which is a feature that is missing from the Google Nest Hub. I was pleasantly surprised because video calling worked really well after I linked my Skype account. This display is also acting as my alarm clock and weather forecaster. An added bonus is that the display notifies you when an Amazon package has been delivered.

My kids love this. I hear them asking Alexa all kinds of random kid questions and for her to show them pictures of animals. I can turn off her ability to listen and shut the lens cover. I have sat in my office and had movies from my prime services playing or music. You can add Skills to her such as "animal workout" which is a fun way to get the kids to exercise. You can also manage recordings via Amazon devices. The only issue I have is she isn't as smart as Google, but Alexa is quite entertaining. I would absolutely recommend this product.

I got this item for free with a camera system I bought. I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep it or just re-sell it. I decided to keep it and I was pleasantly surprised with it. I like how it displays the clock so I keep this item on sight where i can see the weather and a clock. I use the echo show daily for turning on my lights to playing music. Definitely recommend.

I always wrote it off as pointless, then Bestbuy had it super cheap as a bundle so why not. Now that I have it, been inspired to cook more, and find it really helpful. Ended up getting 2 more for other rooms during some sale. Only wish it bigger and faster, but the price was too good. Biggest complaints are hearing me when there is ambient noise, then responses are off and wish it had more show specific skills. Handy video drop in where I can call and see the other room or family without the need for a tablet, phone or computer. Like I said, never thought I would get one, but now I love it.

I was pretty much sold on the Google Assistant realm with several devices throughout the house but I could not resist the Black Fridayk prices this year. Bought a 5" and a 8" and just love them. Very easy to setup. The 8" one is in my office streaming music all day while I work. The 5" one is in the bedroom. I love the 'Routines' feature in the Alexa world.

For the most part if you have any Alexa integrations this is way better than just an echo speaker having a screen in general makes everything easier and also gives you more options for the ecosystem. The smallest size is great for bedrooms or offices anything else I would get the bigger one. Screen isn’t great but it does what it needs to. Speaker volume and clarity is what you expect for what you spent. Overall it’s a recommend

The Echo Show 5 is the smallest Amazon Echo video device. It's a good size to have on your nightstand so that you can view your various video devices (e.g. video doorbell, video cams) around your house without getting out of bed. The larger Echo 8 or full size Echo is more useful in the kitchen so that you can see the screen from further away than the Echo 5.

My mother lives in another state so i purchased this to connect with her. I love the fact that i was able to see her, but i was also able to connect my blink home security systems to it as well. Its nice while cooking i can have alexa make phone calls, drop in on mom, listen to music, see all my cameras with a voice command. Comes in handy.

I purchased this for my son & daughter-in-law, they are expecting in May. Their plan is to use as a monitor in the nursery. My son told me (2nd hand review) that the Show 5 is very responsive and easy to install. Connect time with his WI-FI was minimal. The touch screen is very responsive and crystal clear. It paired with his existing wireless devices. Very pleased with this purchase.
