For a small unit it has incredible sound. I love it. It fits on my desk perfectly.

The Amazon Echo show 5" smart display with Alexa is a handy tool for the kitchen and I am finding it useful for home automation. In the kitchen were use it for weather forecasts, new updates, music, and as a timer. Just recently I linked it with a Ring doorbell and floodlights. the search for new devices was easily and I did not have to link to Amazon.

With reliable WiFi these devices offer great functionality. We bought one for each of the kids room to help coordinate meals, getting ready for school, etc. great alarm clock, access to music with prime, sleep sound machine. My kids love them and they offered much cheaper options than a formal intercom system that m which would have had limited functionality.

Love this so much. I love ordering Alexa around. "Alexa, turn on the floor lamp." "OK!" "Good girl." Wow. that sounded kinda gross. Anyway, I like the size, the fact that you can turn the display off, etc. No complaints so far (3 months later). Happy customer. Jazz hands!

Bought it during Black Friday sales. The echo show 5 is a good sized version than the rest (Echo Show 8 and 10) if one does not want it to stick out, visually, as much wherever it’s placed.the functions are responsive and the plus in purchasing this is the physical cover up of the camera lens if not in use. This ensures privacy from potential hackers.

This version is much better than the old one, bigger screen and sound is much better

I bought this for my aunt and she never uses smart devices. Now when we go over to her house, she is talking to her “Alexa” more than she speaks with us. She loves playing music from it, asking about the weather and news, and just overall finding out information. We also provided other devices that go with this and she uses it to help around the house. Great device for a first time user

Bought this for the wife for Christmas. She kept looking at it in the store, so I knew I had to get it. She wanted it to be able to connect with the Ring doorbell so she can say, “Alexa, show me the front door “, and you can see who is there on the screen. The speaker is better than the echo dot it replaces. Actually, we put the old echo dot downstairs, so we can use it as an intercom.

It is very convenient that we can just say "Alexa show me front door" to view our ring video doorbell. Or "Alexa tell shark to start cleaning" for our smart vacuum. We also use it to make our grocery list, video calls, play music, look up recipes, turn on/off TV, reminders/timers and ask any questions that we may have. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

I bought this item to be a "smart" bedside alarm clock. It works perfectly for that task. Set an alarm simply by asking Alexa to set it. Automatically resets correct time during daylight savings time changes. Shows not only current time, but the date, and outside temperature. Very easy setup, and access to the full array of Alexa commands.

I love echo show that I upgraded to the 10" screen. I keep my 5" next to my bedroom night table. I connected my Ring video camera so if someone comes to my door I am able to hear them with my show. It's so much you can do. I use my 10" in the kitchen while I am cooking to watch Amazon prime movies or Hulu. Can't wait for them to add Netflix one day.

1st Gen Echo show is nice, but screen is quite large for a night stand, this one is still larger than the spot, but a decent size as an alarm clock. Display is dark enough at night to still see but not too bright. Also has all the other capabilities that the Alexa enabled speakers have. Also very easy to set up. I also like the ability to physically block the camera verses a software switch.

Prefer these over a Dot just because of the screen. Feel like I get more use out of it because of that feature. Ideal for bedside, best alarm clock I’ve ever had. Great addition to a bathroom as well. You can see what the weather is like while you’re getting ready or playing music while showering. Does lack the sound quality of the larger Echo Shows

I have one for my bedtime table and an 8” for my office. I like being able to ask Alexa to bring up my cameras or start the vacuum, turn off the lights etc. The audio quality is also better than expected. Occasionally it will turn on and just start playing a news story or something which can be annoying. The mute button and camera cover are nice additions.

I love the Echo Show 5! It’s easy to setup and compatible with so many products.

Can't say I am a big fan of having this thing listen to me all of the time, but it does tie in very well with my home Ring Video network that I now have setup. It does what it is supposed to do and was very easy to setup. I can either use my Ring app on my phone or iPad to see my Ring video cameras or I can use Alexa when I am sitting in my living room.
