Inexpensive but very useful. I keep this in my kitchen, helps me find recipes, the flash briefing gives me something to listen to while making my morning coffee, and it's nice to have a visual timer while cooking. Connected with the app, I can drop in/video call family members when I'm at work. Better sound than I expected. Totally worth the money.

I like the use of the screen vs. the no screen. One problem I have with this product is with listening to music. In order to listen to a music request I have to be subscribing to Amazon music. If I'm not then I am shifted to another musical site which is not as inclusive as Amazon. I was not aware of this when the device was purchased. This is just another means for Amazon to get constant stream of revenue

I love this device. It functions well as a "smart alarm clock" for me. Numerous settings make it easy to use, and it has a daylight emulator such that it helps me to wake up before my alarm actually starts going off. The screen is crisp and I appreciate all the little things that this device can do. Great value for the money, too!

Easy to use works great with my ring and play music

Wanted the basics of this type of device. Works perfect and easy to set up. The only drawback with these devices is that it is not mobile so when someone calls I have to stay in the room where Alexa is plugged in. Pretty cool for other features such as looking up recipes, asking questions or playing music.

Smallest of the Echo show units. Takes up minimal space on table or night stand. Display quality is excellant and audio quality is very good. Response time for Alexa to respond to commands is very fast. Good WI-FI connection is necessary for best results. Easy to set up, easy to use, and can be fun to use.

I got this as part of a bundle when I purchased the Echo Studio and it's been a pleasant surprise as to how much I like it. I love the fact that it displays song lyrics, weather by the hour, etc. Plus, it sounds good when playing music! The only thing I wish is that it was the 8 or 10 inch screen for the extra viewing.

The clock radio brought to the 21st Century. But more. It will show your photos; it will play your preferred music. It can make video phone calls. It will tell stupid jokes. It will give you the weather forecast for where you are or anywhere you might go. And it is reasonably priced.

Convenient and surprisingly good sound for being so small. We use these as side-table alarm clocks. They do a great job of dimming when it’s dark with their ambient light sensors and have a pretty wide array of clock faces to choose from. For what it is, it is a spectacular price; more so when you catch it on sale.

I love my Amazon echo 5. I didn't realize how easy it is to use. love listening to music on my Echo Show 5

The Echo Show 5 was easy to set up, especially as we already had other echo devices in the household. The touchscreen works well and is bright enough for a well lite area like a kitchen. The screen is not very large, comparable to a large phone, so while it is fairly good if you are close, it tends to be too small if you are any distance away like when you are cooking. So recipes can be difficult to read, although this is also defendant on the source. The speaker is loud enough, I am certainly not expecting a lot from such a small device. Listening to podcasts and music while working in the kitchen is easy and enjoyable. Spotify works well! The issue I had is not really the fault of the device, but with other companies integrating with it. There is not a lot that I need on this device so the variety is a bit lacking, some of that is on me of course. One thing that I really bought it for was integration with my Ring doorbell and cameras, so I can see who is there, maybe even talk to them as needed. (a handy feature with the Rona) However, the app for Ring will not display any of the cameras! It connects fine with the network and is aware and logged in to Ring, it just spins when connecting to the video of a camera. And this is with Amazon owning Ring! Overall it is a well built and fine device and my disappointment is primarily centered on the Ring app, something that been in their advertising for this product. Still it works well and looks good doing it.

With the number of available skills always increasing, it will get better over time than it already is. Setup was simple. I bought the multi-pak and have one to my mother. She had minimal trouble preparing it for use. I dig it. I’m sure others will dig it too. The rubber pad on the bottom is to reduce slipping. It doesn’t work on salt.

The screen size is perfect and the sound is amazing

Works great for FaceTime and other simple Alexa functions. We have three Alexa devices in the house and communicate between the three. But if somebody has two of these you can see the person you’re talking to. Simply awesome. Alexa is always at your fingertips all you Gotta do is say her name.

Easy to use and worth the price. I really like it!!!

The touch screen makes all the difference. Being able to touch it to pause music is good when you don’t want to argue with Alexa. It’s also nice to have a fun clock to give a quick glance. The screen can be dimmed and brightened making it a nice bedside clock. The camera cover is super nice to have if you don’t want a camera on you. The screen is nice so you can have a visual of things like what’s next on your calendar or what’s the weather forecast is for the day. I love it way more than my echo dots. Totally recommend.

This little device is terrific. It has all the functions of the full size Echo’s in a compact size. It also serves as a nightstand clock with a variety of clock faces and backgrounds. The other Echos don’t do that. I use it to listen to my tunes at night and the sound is just great. Video quality is also good. Get one. You won’t regret it.

I've tried Google Nest but preferred Alexa. Much easier to program and it's a perfect clock for my night stand. It dims perfectly so it doesn't bother me and the numbers are large enough to see from further away. Plus, you get all of the other benefits of the assistant part and was able to get my Blink camera's to show up.
