The Echo Show 5 was easy to set up, especially as we already had other echo devices in the household. The touchscreen works well and is bright enough for a well lite area like a kitchen. The screen is not very large, comparable to a large phone, so while it is fairly good if you are close, it tends to be too small if you are any distance away like when you are cooking. So recipes can be difficult to read, although this is also defendant on the source. The speaker is loud enough, I am certainly not expecting a lot from such a small device. Listening to podcasts and music while working in the kitchen is easy and enjoyable. Spotify works well! The issue I had is not really the fault of the device, but with other companies integrating with it. There is not a lot that I need on this device so the variety is a bit lacking, some of that is on me of course. One thing that I really bought it for was integration with my Ring doorbell and cameras, so I can see who is there, maybe even talk to them as needed. (a handy feature with the Rona) However, the app for Ring will not display any of the cameras! It connects fine with the network and is aware and logged in to Ring, it just spins when connecting to the video of a camera. And this is with Amazon owning Ring! Overall it is a well built and fine device and my disappointment is primarily centered on the Ring app, something that been in their advertising for this product. Still it works well and looks good doing it.

The screen size is perfect and the sound is amazing

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves listening to her music while she works in the kitchen. Also loves that she can see her great grandchild when she on the phone with her. This device unlike Google. The other person does not have to have the same Google device to talk and see you.

With the number of available skills always increasing, it will get better over time than it already is. Setup was simple. I bought the multi-pak and have one to my mother. She had minimal trouble preparing it for use. I dig it. I’m sure others will dig it too. The rubber pad on the bottom is to reduce slipping. It doesn’t work on salt.

These are so cute! Good Picture quality that displays. Works well sits like an alarm clock size on the nightstand, however you could it anywhere you like. You can also purchase multiple to sit in several places around the house. The price is great and it goes well with ring or blink.

Great sound and video. I currently have 5 echo devices in the house and primarily use for multi-room music, video streaming and communication. I'm still learning some of the additional skills available and enjoy the suggested prompts on the Echo Show. Excellent present for others at a great price point.

Easy to setup and use. Good product at reasonable price.

I've tried Google Nest but preferred Alexa. Much easier to program and it's a perfect clock for my night stand. It dims perfectly so it doesn't bother me and the numbers are large enough to see from further away. Plus, you get all of the other benefits of the assistant part and was able to get my Blink camera's to show up.

Another brilliant sale from Best Buy. The wife wanted another Echo Dot to put in her home office. I checked BB online and saw this little jewel on sale for just a couple dollars more. Sure, why not. I put it in a gift bag and gave it to her. She pulled it out and gave me the "what have you come up with now" eyeroll/exhale combo. I took it from her, unpacked it and set it up. "Meh", she says, "it's another Echo, with a wee tiny little screen". Flash forward to the kids quarantinimg at home for the holidays. She actually bragged about it. "You can watch movies, and YouTube videos, and do video calls". "It puts the lyrics up on screen, if you have it play a song". She has a routine to open the office (turns on lights and a wireless charging station for her phone, starts a little fan). I get tickled almost every morning as she goes in to work (in what used to be the formal dining room) and does a little 'sorcerer's apprentice' move and fires everything up with a short voice command. The touch screen makes all the difference. Being able to touch it to pause music is good when you don’t want to argue with Alexa. It’s also nice to have a fun clock to give a quick glance. The screen can be dimmed and brightened making it a nice bedside clock. The camera cover is super nice to have if you don’t want a camera on you. The screen is nice so you can have a visual of things like what’s next on your calendar or what’s the weather forecast is for the day. I love it way more than my echo dots. Totally recommend.

This little device is terrific. It has all the functions of the full size Echo’s in a compact size. It also serves as a nightstand clock with a variety of clock faces and backgrounds. The other Echos don’t do that. I use it to listen to my tunes at night and the sound is just great. Video quality is also good. Get one. You won’t regret it.

I bought this on sale to replace an Echo Dot. I thought the screen might be too small but I am very pleased with it. You can block the camera until you need to use it plus you can mute the listening if you don’t want Amazon to listen to you talking - such as giving out a credit card on a phone call. Great product with great features.

I’ve got a few of these devices during Christmas for gifts and it was one of the best decisions I could mail it was on sale for an unbelievable price so that definitely played a part but it does everything from play music to answer phone calls to tell me what’s the latest news it’s a great product .

I bought the echo show eight to use in my kitchen and I decided that I needed a version for the bedrooms. I like how you can program it to wake up, listen to music , news or shopping. My granddaughter also loves it. It is “Alexa”. Wonderful purchase! Also got a blink camera and it was the best purchase,

A great product from Amazon. The echo show 5, has all the features of the echo products but adds a display. This is a great feature as you can display a clock, the weather, or other content such as streaming services or a doorbell cam. Video and sound quality is great.

The show 5 first was incredibly priced, half off. The set up time was less than 5 minutes. Still learning all the tasks and uses. Set mine up in the kitchen. Already have used dinner meal recipes, delicious too.Have begun developing a shopping list. Listen to music while cooking. Great device so far.

I’m in love with this product. I can play videos, music, my play lists. Text my mom and make announcements to my kids while I’m upstairs in my bed through my phone. I can drop in anytime to check on my kids. I had this product for about a year. You can ask Alexa anything and she will have the answers
