Great little unit. Good screen quality and decent audio.

The echo show 5 was amazing and easy to use. The only reason I bought this device from Best Buy was because the Target version of the echo malfunctioned. The product worked well and met my expectations.

Gen 1. I bought it specifically for the head phone jack (removed in Gen 2). Sounds great they my vintage Sansui stereo.

5 inch new echo show is a great addition to echo family. I own all echo devices like new echo 10 inch show, echo spot, echo dot, original echo, ecobee switch with echo and thought of giving it a try since my echo spot had limited screen size to view my front door on my desk. Purchased on sale and it was pretty cool. Same user functions like the big brother echo show in a small factor. Only issue I have with this is I need to yell with to understand when my desk fan is switched on. Its microphone has issues compared to other echo devices(dot is better than this) and other than that this one performs well as advertised. My home is fully on amazon/alexa ecosystem and its a great device if you are looking for you nightstand or desk. One good feature amazon added in this is the shutter for camera(yes manual shutter) for privacy which I love it. Works well and can be shut when not needed. Overall good but not excellent.

Screen quality is perfect along with sound for music. Interactive calling is fun with family.

Good enough for what we use it for considering there was a promotion. Kinda lags.

I am really enjoying my Amazon Echo. I use it for all kinds of different things and really enjoy the alarm clock.

It's nice. I feel Alexa is getting worse and worse over time... but if you are good with that, it's a nice device.

I’ve bought 2 and they are an ok product. When you get these devices you basically are entering into a marriage with Amazon. She’s Fickle too. The fact there’s no access to YouTube or Google makes her kinda always say “I don’t know about that” Then I have to use my iPhone to answer the question. If your internet goes out then it’s a useless touch screen begging for you to find it some WiFi. You can’t control your lights, nothing. There’s no offline mode or a SD card to store your own media. Amazon got rid of your ability to upload your own music to Amazon music, last year, I’m now forced to move to the Google Home because Google lets you do that. All the devices bulbs, switches can still be connected to a router and you can see them but without internet connection to that router none can talk to each other to do even the basics (on and off). Someday perhaps they will learn that ignoring what services a customer wants adds frustration and loses the trust that we give and no matter the marketing strategy ultimately they are seen as fake, greedy and out dated. Bye Alexa it was fun but I need a better solution, basically I need a Laptop or tablet that sits upright to watch YouTube DIY videos, Netflix, to search on an engine that has the answers I need and all the things that make fast speed internet the reason to pay the high prices and not be limited to a pipe dream of keeping all the money into an infrastructure that is 5th rate.

This makes a great night stand clock. A lot of features to customize and the fact it works with ring products. The screen was a bit unresponsive at times. Not sure if it was the way I was tapping the screen. Overall, I would only get it part of the ring bundle deal.

This Device is an excellent Streaming and clock and speaker device from amazon keep up the excellent work amazon I would recommend this product to others I would purchase more of these excellent devices I am giving it a 5 stars rating

Other than brand name products in our Elizabethtown store (I haven't had the privilege of shopping other Best Buy stores) I like that someone is always there to help. And they're friendly.

I'm returning it after not being able to stop ads and suggestions or tips from always appearing on the display. Even after going to "home content" and disabling everything the ads and suggestions continued. After emailing amazon about this issue they responded saying at this time there isn't an option to disable this, contrary to what some online commentators posted. I want my clock always on display. Not on the corner and shrunk 9 times like it does. This is my biggest issue with this item. Also, day one after purchase and connecting successfully, alexa did respond to my 3 requests. Day 2, alexa no longer would respond. It did respond, however, after resetting it to factory settings. Why is this? Last, weather is off by a few degrees. After experiencing with it, I was unable to have my local weather be displayed. There are a few other items that did bug me but the above are my biggest gripes. I will give the next generation a try and hope they improve. Pros: unit construction, can hear me all the way from my bed (echo on dresser), nice backgrounds
