Very Poor Nest Camera Support. Hate screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all the screen is way too small. Second, as with my Echo Spot this Echo Show 5 when in clock mode the screen rotates from full screen clock display to displaying different screen "suggestions" and the clock display is then minimized. I HATE THAT FEATURE. And this screen rotation thing can not be turned off. So if one glances at the Show 5 to get the current time, most likely the clock current time display will be teeny tiny as the screen is displaying "suggestions". And my third issue, VERY POOR integration with NEST products. Nest is considered a third party add-on for this Amazon Echo Show 5. So you must "link" Nest cameras to your Amazon account for the Show 5 to see the camera link. But regardless, when selecting to look at a camera, the camera live-view fails to come up on the screen. The Nest camera selection icon just flashes as if trying to access the Nest Cam, then stops and the camera view does not display. Where as, my Google Hub, Googles answer to the Show 5, the Hub supports Nest and works great with allowing the viewing of Nest camera(s). Nest works perfectly with THE HUB, but not with the Show 5. At least not reliably so. Sadly, the Show 5 simply fails to preform as advertised. And the 5 inch screen isn't any more useful than the 3 inch screen on the Echo Spot. I got my Show 5 from a local store and not directly from Best Buy, however I still returned the Show 5 to that store after it failed to perform. Both the Show 5 and the HUB have their good and bad points, but the Show 5 is not the best choice over THE Hub.

Dumbest Echo Device since the Auto
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Echo Show is a piece of junk. The Alexa/Echo ecosystem is generally OK, but this is just garbage. Amazon had a great "show" product back when they made the charger/stand that would convert a Fire tablet to "Show" mode. Bought this on the strength of how much I liked that. This has none of the advantages of being a tablet and is basically an Echo Dot with worse microphones, worse speakers, and largely useless screens.

Horrible sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s great except the speaker has horrible sound quality. It sounds like I’m listening to a bad channel on an old radio or like the speaker is blown
