Just unplug the power adapter from the device or the outlet and then plug it back in. If the restart doesn't solve your issue, you may want to reset the device to factory settings. You can reset your Echo Show 8 back to factory settings by holding the volume down and mute button until you see the Amazon logo (about 15 seconds). When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. If you are still having issues with the Echo Show 8 you can call Amazon customer service, available 24/7 for assistance on the device. You can reach them at 1-888-280-4331. The sound is good and the display is vibrant. Sometimes it doesn't listen correctly. One of the downsides is with amazons programming. Even when selecting wallpaper its contstant ads and also pushes democrat news articles.

He can ask any questions and it answers and he feels connected and informed which really helps him in many ways. When my dad is happy, that makes me very happy. He loves it!

It’s not an updating screen because one has made it past the update but loads after that. The other one doesn’t even make it past choose time zone screen.

Posted .Hello Dmart91! I apologize for the frustrating issues you are having with these Show 8s. You may need to try to factory reset both through a hard reset to see if they will allow you past that screen. You can accomplish this by pressing and holding simultaneously the Mute Button (circle with a line through it), and the Volume Down Button and keep holding it down until it reboots and shows either the Amazon logo or the words Factory Reset in the bottom of the screen. Once this occurs, you can release the buttons and then follow the instructions on screen again. If that does not help you, then you may need to consult Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further assistance. Thank you so much for your time and feedback and I hope this helps! The battery life was excellent, original batteries run for 1.5 years before changing them out. The 10" display works great in the kitchen area to display all 9 cameras.

I’m not sure what it’s meant to do. I bought it because I bought a ring doorbell. Delay is enough that the person at the disappears. I thought the doorbell would ring and I would see on the screen who was there but that’s not the case I have to wait and then I have to choose it, sometimes randomly it comes up in a small window and I have to expand it to see anything. I’m not sure what the purpose of this is. I was going to put it in my bedroom so I could hear the doorbell but The screen continuously shifts and lights up so it would keep me awake all night. Alexa doesn’t know much so she’s very helpful if you want to know the time or the weather and she will let you know if your packages have been delivered other than that I’m not sure what the purposes it’s a very expensive toy. The screen is high-quality and the photographs are gorgeous other than that she’s not that bright except if you’re trying to sleep

I was surprised to find out it has more options than the show 5, though. I love the features these provide including the ability to video chat through them.
