I have tried troubleshooting with no success. Really frustrating. I had an Echo Show 5 before and had no issues but it quit unexpectedly and I had to get a new one.

Posted .Hello MichelleW! I am so sorry for the trouble you are having with your Show 8. This is not only an upgrade in size from your old Show 5 but a tremendous upgrade in features and functionality. So it does pain us to hear that is not the experience you are receiving. Without more details, it is difficult to troubleshoot with you on what may be causing this since it could be different steps needed based on the music service you are using. I can give you a couple pointers to ensure you are up to date, however, and to see if you can fix the problem yourself before contacting Amazon Customer Support. One thing you can do is you can see if your device is up to date. This can sometimes cause software problems if it is running an older software program. You can fix this by swiping down from the top of the screen and going to Settings. Then go to Device Options and then finally go to Check for Software Update. If there is a pending update, you can download and install it from there. If that doesn't work, then you can try power cycling your device by pressing and holding the Mute button. You can turn it back on with this same button. Lastly, you can try to reset it to factory settings and reset it back up to see if it stops the issue you are having. If none of that works, then I would highly recommend to contact Customer Support for Amazon by calling 888.280.4331. I hope this helps you have a better experience and that you have a great day!

Had the worst time getting the doorbell to ring through the Alexa. Once we got it synced up to the Ring doorbell all is working as it should at least for the moment.

Wasn't told she was included in the door bell package. She will not say connected to the WiFi, so she is totally useless to me. The Goon who installed it took all the instructions back with him and the boxes. I have NO instructions.

Requires the download of an app on your phone to set up and manage a stand alone device. Can’t adjust anything from the device. Idiotic design. Defeats entire purpose of a stand alone device.. Could also never get it to work with Arlo cameras.

Even with turning every option off and telling it to go "dark" it still would light up at times with suggestions. It works well with the commands that I want to use and the main reason I got it, my Ring doorbell. (Faster than using my phone) Gave it to a friend and put the puck back in the bedroom.
