Videos and camera it activates are at random and not when needed. Commands are always confused and not executed as supposed to. - it cannot tell between Fire TV/Firestick or playing anything on itself. I almost chucked this thing put of the window as how frustrating it is. - returned it for full refund and got 100% more reliable Echo Dot with clock.

Terrible, terrible speaker & I don’t even use it for music … if I did, I would return it at once. Alexa’s whisper is almost inaudible & 99% of the times I ask her something, the Echo Show 8 doesn’t hear my question but the 4th generation Echo Dot in the next room hears me & responds. I am VERY UNHAPPY with the 4th generation Echo Show 8.

I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone! You can’t login to your Netflix account, the YouTube interface over the browser isn’t good, to have a video call with someone it should be through zoom which most people don’t use at all!

Posted .Hello Chandu! Thank you so much for your feedback as we value an any and all feedback we can get on our devices. I am not sure why the system is not allowing you to log in to your Netflix account as that is definitely a supported feature. I would recommend maybe power cycling by holding down the Mute button and tapping Power Off. Then when it powers down, press it again until the Amazon logo comes on. Then launch Netflix again. If it does not let you log in, tap the Need Help link under the log in. There is not an official YouTube Skill as of yet but it does let you watch YouTube videos via the browser as you mentioned while there are also a wide range of other videos Alexa can access through simply asking for it by voice. As for video calling, Zoom is just one of the options available (and still a widely used platform) as well as Skype amongst others. The best way to do video calls is either from Echo to Echo (anyone else who has an Echo or a Fire Tablet that has Show Mode), or you can even contact someone via their smartphone by simply having them have the Alexa Smartphone app on their downloaded and logged in to their Amazon account. This allows you to use your voice or touch screen to contact anyone in your list of contacts and allow them to answer your call request through their Alexa app. I hope this helps give you some more options to utilize the many features of your new Echo Show 8. I purchased this device to sync with my Ring Video Pro doorbell. However, I could not set up live view to automatically work nor would it function as a security camera allowing me to view an area remotely. These two features was the reason I purchased this item. Even though I have a strong Internet signal (wifi) throughout my home after 3 days dealing with the same issues I returned the item for a refund.

It's a glorified alarm clock, that gives you all the information you did not ask for. Get a tablet or a laptop, and Use your Phone as the alarm clock, and ask Google
