I love the echo 4th generation , but this echo show 8 does the echo line justice. If you are like me and have enough speakers around your home lol go with this show you'll not only get a speaker but amazing visual out of a meaningful size camera that works also like a security camera. Alexa is more easier and responsive with screen instead of just having a speaker to tell you when its not working properly. im thinking of getting the echo 10 now lol.

better than the show 5. Only worth the extra money, however, if you really need a bigger screen. A full size echo sounds better if you just need for music.

It's fun to look at the pictures And not have to keep flipping over.

So far, so good. I purchased my daughter & grandson one to keep in video touch with them. I just started using mine Dec 8th 2021 and so far i love it. Not to leave out I purchased the smart plug & light bulb. Which was a bit toooo PRICEY. As for the Echo 8 2nd gen. I got it on sale THROUGH BESTBUY almost half off. KILLER DEAL!!! XMAS SALE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. May I add: I purchased the stand and im so glad i did. ALEXA' LIST MY REVIEW LOL

Took a little while to get it to connect but after that it’s been great! We have several in the house and they work great!

Before I purchased the Echo Show 8, I was not really sure if I had the need for it. Since I've got it, I use it all the time, and really enjoy it. I have mine in the kitchen, and watch videos or listen to music as I prepare dinner. The sound quality is very good. Nice visual display of the weather forecast. You can set the background to display your own photos, or a selection of stock photos. Handy to have my calendar accessible and shopping list for hands free visual display. I'm sure there are still many uses I have not discovered yet!

Nice size screen, i recommend to upgrade from show 5. I got it on half price sale; so the price was beyond right.

Excellent device! This is my 3rd purchase of the Echo Show 8 and eventually will purchase more. The plan is to have a unit in the areas of my home that I spend most of my time. I.e., I used an Echo Show 8 in my Gazebo over the summer that allowed me to listen to music and monitor the front of my home while in the backyard.

I used this every day I loved, in mi kitchen most often for cooking, I hear my music, I see the news.

I got this so I can drop in on my parents anytime to check on them I live in another state, because they are elderly. I was able to help with a 911 call because my dad fell my mom called 911 while I kept talking to him to keep him awake. I'm really glad we got these; I sleep better knowing I can check in on them anytime.

Much better sound than previous show models, and reading recipes are a lot easier!

My husband wanted a digital frame for Christmas. Our home is already connected with Alexa through other devices so I decided to merge a frame with another Echo product. He’s had fun increasing his knowledge of what Alexa can bring to the home with a screen attached. I’m now waiting for the portable battery adapter to be delivered so the device can be carted to the kitchen when needed then back to the family room to be put on display. Great clarity of photos and works well, like all the other Amazon devices.
