We bought this primarily to communicate with my mother-in-law in the nursing home. Along with several brother-in-laws. Enjoying it better than FaceTime as that was difficult for my MIL to manage due to her limited physical abilities from Parkinson’s. Kids enjoy asking Alexa random items. Video quality is good.

I bought two of these. I did not get to use either of them. They were Christmas presents. I was told that they worked as intended. Easy to order and pick up. This one came with a smart light. I didn't get to use that either.

if you could not hear what your Alexa had said you'd at least have a visual of what it had said. It has a lot of cool skills that you could actually see the skills or other programs. The sound is awesome. I have the tower Alexa and the echo flat one and also now the Amazon Echo Show 8.

So far I love it. For me, I use it as a Nanny Cam with Alexa compatible camera. I love how I can voice activated it and watch my toddler in her room when she’s playing when I’m working. It’s hard working from home and having a toddler who started to walk from room to room. I like the photo screensaver to. I probably wont use it for other things but a nanny cam. I give it one star off because there is no internal battery so you can’t carry it around from room to room with ease. I just have to make sure to bring the plug around when I’m working or in the living room.

So happy to have found this at such a reasonable price. It is a gift for my Aunt who is close to her 80s and lives alone. With the threat of COVID today this is a very useful tool to keep in touch with family, friends, even your doctor and order groceries and anything else you might need. And the ability to know the forecast, or a recipe, or the answer to any question she might have. She and I both will feel better knowing it is there with her.

I purchased this for my 84-year-old mother to use along with the Ring doorbell we bought her. She uses a walker so she can see who is at her door without getting up if she has to or use it to talk to the person at the door. She talks to it to get information also.

I had the old Echo show. It worked well, and is still working. I received the new Echo show 8 as a birthday present. It is a upgrade from the old one. The picture is clearer and the sound is better. I would recommend it to anyone. However, if you are using in it in a kids room you should make sure you adjust the settings for kids.

This product speaks for itself. High quality device, works very fine. This is very useful for your house. Not only for music but also to listen to news, to create different useful automations, as an example playing a music or station when you arrive home after a tiredness day of work.
