My previous Alexa was 3 years older and its microphones were far better than this new 9 inch model. Interface is lagging worse as well….honestly Amazon put more ram into your Alexa’s . It’s embarrassing .

I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with the microphone performance and interface lag compared to your previous device. To address these issues, ensure your Echo Show has a strong internet connection, restart the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds, check that software is updated through Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates, adjust microphone sensitivity or reposition the device away from walls or noise sources, and consider a factory reset if performance doesn't improve. Closing background processes by disabling unused features like Drop In may also help reduce lag. I understand your frustration with the hardware performance, and your feedback about processing power expectations is valuable for product development. Thank you for sharing your feedback!

I installed BigSky app on it. It generally works great, but Alexa generally lags in terms of performance comparing to Google Assistant. I am personally more comfortable with Google Assistant. All the amazon.com knows is to mass lay off highly talented people instead of improving quality of products. For amazon.com only profit matters. Unfortunately, I saw Google Hub after I bought this product. I wish I bought it instead. I am generally lazy to return anything.

I am looking forward for an upgrade where the scheduling and multitasking more efficient.

Absolutely love them. They do it all for my needs from sleep sound to security camera monitoring. Will get a 3rd for the basement.

I do like that it gives me the day, date, time and temp in the morning, and music sounds pretty good, but good grief....WHY ALL THE ADS???
