    Slow, weird settings. Good audio. Very upsetting to setup what shows on display randomly

    Good for music, in general, the system is slow, and changing from one app to the other one takes time.

    I never write reviews BUT this product4 is a waste of money. Yes, it does a few good things but I wish I returned this while I could. It's a constant irritating (Z(*$_@+ ad screen for Amazon products, which I should have considered before purchasing. My mistake. Don't make it yours.

There is a way to eliminate those ads, you can go to Settings > Alexa Privacy > Manage Skill Permissions and Ad Preferences.     Some people are being incented to write good reviews for the Alexa Echo 8 so beware of that. I used to be a fan of Alexa (have some other devices), but the newest Echo 8 I just bought from Best Buy I returned as complete JUNK. I'm an engineer very adept at using computers and all sorts of devices but I waisted way too much time trying to get the echo 8 set up as it would never connect to my phone app, the screen doesnt recognize what you're tapping on it too often, & no decent customer support. I really wanted to love this device but do NOT buy until Alexa confirms they have fixed these problems.

If that doesn't help, ensure your device is connected to the internet and that the app and device are both up-to-date.     Terrible. It talks when you aren’t even in the room. Have to ask it several times to stop. Says it’s not connected to internet and next time we ask it works. No problems with our Alexa dots Doesn’t set timers right. All ln all, worst Alexa purchase ever!

      Hi Delores, thank you for providing feedback for Echo Show 8. I am sorry to see that the device is not functioning as intended. It seems that the device is having intermittent connectivity issues. To attempt to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

      1. Place your Echo device within 30 feet of your router.
      2. Keep it away from interference sources like microwaves and baby monitors.
      3. Check your router's functionality by connecting another device.
      - If other devices can't connect, restart your router/modem and unplug your Echo for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.
      - If other devices can connect, ensure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password and consider turning off some devices to reduce interference.
      4. If you have multiple devices on your Wi-Fi, try turning some off temporarily.
      5. If your router has separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, switch your Echo to the other band.
      6. Update your Echo's Wi-Fi settings if you've changed your Wi-Fi password.

    This thing is slow and a talking advert for Amazon. Even when you ask Alexa to tell a joke she will try and up sale some cereal. Amazon could do so much better than this. We already bought the device and not everything needs to sell us something.

    Should have went with Nest! When cameras trigger motion no matter any setting it only displays for a minute. Cameras freeze constantly on Show, are slow to load. We have a baby camera. The purpose is to continuously monitor our child. Immposible when ever other minute it will also completely go back to home screen.

    The Echo Show devices will no longer allow you to turn off the advertisements. Dont like having to fight technology for corporate profit. Throwing mine in the trash.
