The screen is just the right size, I have one in the kitchen and in my home office! I can see my questions answered by Alexa! Perfect!

She can now tell the device what time to set the alarm (it changes each day) when she goes to bed rather than having to click through the times. That may seem like a lot of $ to pay for that feature, but there are other benefits too. I'm using the home hub so now she can control the smart lighting in our room from the Echo show. Plus her iphone used to make interference with the old clock radio speaker. Hopefully this has better shielding. So far no issues there. Nice to also set up for weather information viewable when she first wakes up, and Ring integration as well.

This gadget does more than expected. The set up comes with simple instructions. WiFi and the Alexa app is all you need to know about this.

It rarely understands me. I shall perfect Emglish btw. I have to speak louder to get response. I do like some newer features that I like but I'm annoyed with it because I set it to stop giving me notifications of my Amazon accoun and it started doing it again. It reverts back. Also, it sometimes randomly due things like played music etc. Mashed me wonder if someone else can control it from elsewhere. Creepy. It's also a little heavy and pretty bulky. It feels unnecessary. I might be beret off with a tablet on a stand.

Posted .Hello TechMama! Thank you so much for sharing your valued feedback on your experience with your Show 8. One thing you can try to assist in some possible issues that keep arising with your device is to make sure it is running the most recent software version. Sometimes it can be stuck in an update which can cause some of these issues to occur. You can check this by swiping down from the top of the screen and going to Settings>Device Options>Check for Software Updates. This may clear out some of those pesky issues you are seeing. As for the bulkiness of it, in comparison to the last generation model we have massively improved the sound system in it to include spatial audio and better bass. This can cause it to feel a little heavier. This would be even more of a difference when compared to the smaller Show 5 devices because those have a much smaller sound system in it.
