My previous Alexa was 3 years older and its microphones were far better than this new 9 inch model. Interface is lagging worse as well….honestly Amazon put more ram into your Alexa’s . It’s embarrassing .

I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with the microphone performance and interface lag compared to your previous device. To address these issues, ensure your Echo Show has a strong internet connection, restart the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds, check that software is updated through Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates, adjust microphone sensitivity or reposition the device away from walls or noise sources, and consider a factory reset if performance doesn't improve. Closing background processes by disabling unused features like Drop In may also help reduce lag. I understand your frustration with the hardware performance, and your feedback about processing power expectations is valuable for product development. Thank you for sharing your feedback!

This was a much needed upgrade from my previous, and much smaller, echo. Also, the photo frame feature is wonderful and allows for so many photos to be displayed

However, when my budget allows, I'll buy the Echo with a larger screen. I'm a bit of a "Luddite", slow to take on current and new technology. However, this Echo was so easy to set up and use.Really enjoy using, especially when I'm cooking dinner! The only reason I rate this Echo a "4" is due to screen size and I could not access my "Passport" and Peacock streaming service. Easy to access all other streaming services, though (Netflix,Audible, Prime, of course).
