Check that your Echo device is away from any devices that cause interference (such as microwaves, baby monitors, or other electronic devices). Check that your router is working and your device is connected and on the latest software. You must follow the directions in the box and download the Alexa app. It is there that you will connect the device to wifi and add skills, music and streaming preferences, and more.

But the constant ads and “suggested content” make it unbearable to use. Every time I walk by, it’s pushing something from Amazon instead of showing useful info. For a device in this price range, that’s unacceptable. It feels like I paid for a commercial platform rather than a smart home assistant.

I was looking for an alexa they pointed me to a sale that was going on. Not only did i save money but got actually what i wanted in a bigger version for cheaper money.
