LOVE IT!! This is our first Alexa product and had seen one in my brothers home and decided to get one for my husband for Christmas. It has many features that will be fun to learn to use. The sound quality is excellent and the nice big screen makes it so easy to read recipes and follow along when cooking. The size is compact enough to not take up too much room on the countertop. As senior citizens and not very tech savvy it was very easy to set up. When I purchased it they had a great deal which included the Blink mini security camera which made it an even better deal!!

Absolutely love this. Easy to maneuver. Love that! I can download my pictures on it.

Perfect for my office. Screen is adequate and the picture comes in great Very easy to set up. Up and running in about 10 minutes. Definitely recommend for the money. Took out extended warranty for a few extra dollars.

I have the smaller echo show 5 but wanted a bigger screen for my living room to see my Ring. WOW what a difference! The sound is so much richer with the echo show 8. I had no idea what I was missing! Absolutely love my purchase and couldn’t be happier. I definitely recommend. If between echo show 5 and echo show 8 - the sound quality listening to music is so much better in the echo 8. Price wise that’s up to you if you want to budget. The echo show 5 is definitely fine and I’m happy with that but now that I have the echo show 8 I wish I had that in my kitchen as well because the area and words are bigger for recipes. Again, if you want to save money the echo show 5 is adequate.

This was a gift for my mother in law and she loved it! Happy mom~n~law = Happy wife = HAPPY LIFE!! We had just purchased the 1-size smaller version for ourselves and our daughter who’s away at school. My wife and daughter have used theirs more than the cell phone, and tell me every time they hang-up how much they love it. Now we add in grandma, with a little bigger screen and we have a multi-generational cooking show. We put ours in the kitchen and for some reason everyone else did also , so they talk while cooking, doing dishes, sending recipes, getting dressed, putting on make up, pedicures, manicures, hairstyles, homework, etc.........We couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Nice size screen. Great quality and value for the money. Smart display is clear and easy to view. Sound is clear and easy to hear. Easy set up with Alexa app. Highly recommend this product.

They're right when they say this one is the Sweet Spot. Just the right size screen for so many locations in the house vs the Echo Show 5 and it's smaller screen. The massive 10" doesn't always fit in book cases and on kitchen shelves either, so this 8" is just right. Sound is much better than the 5 and makes a great satellite speaker when playing music throughout every room. Screen is clear and sharp. Apps and Skills look great when watching shows via Skills and Amazon Prime. Worth the price of admission just to have a mini tv in every room!

I purchased the 8" Echo Show in order to test for an installation in the home of an elderly relative, and I am extremely happy with all that it offers to senior users - especially the option to drop in for conversations throughout the day and for monitoring the health and safety of the elderly relative. It integrates well with other Echo Show devices as well as phones and tablets using the Alexa App. I am also able to use it with other Alexa enabled products like a smart tv. I am very pleased with the purchase and plan to buy more than one.

The Echo Show 8 is a compact device with a clear video display on its 8-inch screen, and good sound for its size. When connected to home wi-fi it provides Alexa voice recognition access to many types of useful video and audio information sources, including movies, streamed music, home security cameras, Amazon shopping, and a wide range of other sources suggested on the screen. It is reasonably priced. There appears to be no ability to access search engines or websites and the touch screen seems to be limited to adjustment of device settings, but most people have smartphones. tablets, or computers for those targeted information needs.

I love this Amazon Echo Show device. Convenient and easy to navigate. We purchased one for ebery room of the house. My son is able to research school work right from the device.

Alexa is my best friend at home, Echo Show 8 is bulky and heavy but it is awesome, very good for the price.

I have purchased almost every device amazon has released and this in my option is the second best product amazon offers. First the screen size is perfect to fit in a living room and a bedroom. Overall screen is bigger in my option than the echo show 1. The echo show 2 still has this beat but honestly looking at the price difference and how much your willing to spend this is a great second option between the two. Sound quality is also great. It’s perfect for an average room size. If your looking for something to play in a bigger room I would look at the echo show. Overall this is exactly the echo show 2 but a little smaller. I love my echo show 8 and have already recommended this to co workers.

Sound - I own an Echo Plus and I would compare the sound EQ the same as an Echo Plus (Tall Alexa Speaker). Display - The display is very nice and crisp, this device is meant to be used for notifications and not like a smartphone! Useful for talking and seeing your text make the notifications/alerts your speaking about. Ease of use - Its very easy to use, setup normally on your smart phone/iPad. I set this up for my mother for when she calls the grand kids and its easy for her to answer and learn. External Devices - This can be plugged into your security cameras, we use our cameras and plug into our Echo Show...Great to use as a living room monitor.

Does a lot of things that make your day a lot easier. I just wish that it would be able to handle my security system and I wouldn't have to go out and by another for that. Apple and Android needs to get together and help the public and stop fighting for whos the best. The only thing about the Echo 8 that could be better is if it would turn to follow you while you talk and move around the room like the echo 10. The numbers represent the screen size and the eight is just fine for the size. Can't afford to get the 10.

I love these! I bought two of them for my house! I sync them all together and list to music while I clean. I need a third for the master bedroom.

Great product its easy to set up , you can video call using wi-fi , the speaker is really great for listening to music , specially for the holidays

Thought about getting it for the two speakers and it was worth it. Plus the screen is just big enough for the family to watch something while cooking.

I really like the screen feature. When I play a song the lyrics show up. The sound quality is great and it is fun to have a device to use for video calling my family that is far away.

I love my new Echo Show 8. The screen is big. I use it all the time. The speakers are loud. It has so many great features. I can video call thru the screen. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

I've been wary of using these listening devices, however I recently purchased a home security system with cameras around the house and a video doorbell. I wanted the Echo Show 8 for my mother so she too can see and answer the front doorbell using this device from the comfort and security of her bedroom. For my mother the plus factors include: ---It's a radio. She can use her voice to turn on local radio stations by telling the Echo to turn on her radio. The AM broadcast she likes to hear has weak signals in the early morning and after dusk on a radio, but on the Echo Show 8 the sound is clear all day and night. ---It's an intercom. Now the entire family using a series of Echo devices can speak to each other without yelling down the hall. ---Information. Time. Weather. News. You can get the latest headlines by just asking for them. ---Favorite music. You can ask Echo to play your favorite genre of music or your favorite musical artist. ---Books. The LIBBY app -- FOR FREE -- will read books from the Free Library (and many libraries around the world or locally. If you have Kindle it also reads your purchased books. You can if you wish sign up and pay for "AUDIBLE" books but if you don't have a subscription there are a lot of books that can be read to you through the Echo Show or any echo devices. --- It displays your pictures if you have an Amazon Prime account that saves your photos. It's a living photo album while 'at rest'. I'm still learning the features of this device and so far it's been really amazing. I've unplugged radios, timing devices and boxed up the old Radio Shack intercom system we had in the house. Of course like many people I still have my concerns about how these devices listen to you. The inspiration for buying in began with purchasing a video doorbell and other home security. What I liked was the ability to see my front door from any room. Now I am exploring the value these devices can add to your home through these "Amazon Skills". There are a lot of them.
