There are several things that I don't like about this Echo Show 8. First, the camera takes awhile to focus when making video calls. Second, the microphone is on the top of the device. Depends where I set the Echo show, it does seem to have some problems hearing my voice commands. Also, some of the features like drop in and video calls do not always work while I am away from home. While this device work just like the Fire HD tables, it is not portable. While the Alexa app is not perfect and seems like it's still in the infant stage. The good things about this device is the sound and the 8" HD display.

This product is amazing! Great sound and work good with my other Alexa products. I’m about to purchase another one.

Alexa is a great addition to our house and got one for my wife’s mother so she could video chat with the kids and us

I have really enjoyed the Echo products that we have purchased. The two echo shows we purchased were an “upgrade” from the echo speakers we have been using the last two years! We enjoy having the music apps, trivia, devotional apps, news, even Alexa’s jokes. We are planning on tying in a video doorbell and new door locks too! They are easily handled and used by my elderly parents (81) to help them feel secure especially in starting the day. I am hoping that the echo connect will be as helpful in making voice/ video calls for them!

Was a great price, originally was 129.99, I paid half! Awesome product, u can do so much with it! I usually ask for recipes or ask for music!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He has been using it ever since. The video calling is seamless and the display is very clear.

Love it It works better than I thought it would. I use it for everything from wake up to timing things to listening to music to watching tv.

A lot more viewing area than the 5... obviously. No complaints. Alexa is constantly suggesting interesting topics on the screen.

husband loves this in the livingroom he loves the different pictures on it and he can look at it and see the weather and temperature. although alexa is not as capable as google home. have to repeat commands but i guess that is to be expected. like saying only one wake word to activate.

Bought this as a retirement gift for my father in law and he & my mother in law love it. From music, YouTube, to dropping in... it’s great to use for them

It works as described. I use it in my kitchen and watch prime movies while I cook. The sound is clear when watching tv and playing music.

The Echo Show 8 looks and sounds great. It works as a much needed night table clock. Also works well with Alexa and four Phillips Hue lights in the bedroom.
