When i decided to get an echo show, i never did,so i got for Christmas a 5 as a gift from my daughter,when i installed it was easy-to-use became fun,added alexas app to my phone. Enjoyed having it.alexa and i became friends,so i purchased a higher version the 8. They both do the exact same thing,just a larger screen. Love the qualities of sound,volume is adjustable thing Alexa comes up with is very knowledgeable.

Perfect size just what we needed for our spare room/office

What a fun product! It was very easy to set up even for a non- technical person like me. I downloaded pics from my phone and it displays them on the screen. I love that I can just ask Alexa about the weather and news and it shows in the screen where I can see it. The Echo 8 is just small enough not to overpower my chair side table but big enough to see clearly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know, and have.

Excellent product. Easy to set up and use. Extremely use-full, like the voice command feature to operate smart devices and provide information to you. Visual aspect is good for quick look at the time and temperature. Easy to set up if you focus on it for just a few minutes with out distractions. Grand kids love to talk to it and have it tell jokes.

Easy setup with a non prime Amazon account. The screen is sharp and audio is pretty good. The Alexa commands function well and the user interface is simple to navigate. I bought this to serve as an intercom between my parents house and mine and it works a treat. The sales for this first generation make this a very value for money option compared to similar offerings by google or Lenovo.

Recent upgrade to smart home. I use the echo show for almost everything. Control the lights, control the stove, look up recipes, create or add to my shopping list, listen to my favorite soap opera podcast. I haven't sued it for Zoom or video chat yet, but I'm sure that's coming. The 5" seemed too small for my needs, the 10" was more than I wanted to spend and Best Buy had a great price. Very happy with my Echo.

We already had an Echo Dot so this basically just takes the features we were already used to and added video, limited web search with a screen, and video calling to other people with a Show. It also works as a nice digital picture frame and cost less than most of those. My wife loves it being in the kitchen for easy recipes, conversions, etc.

Great product. I like the size of the screen and quality of product. I will buy another one as I need it.

alexa works as I expected it to and is easy to set up.

I started out with the 1st Echo Show and ended up buying all of my family members one. I then bought the Echo Show 2 with the 10" screen and upgraded sound, which we keep in the living room/dining room area. Well, we really love that one and when we travel, we would take it with us. This one is a little more compact for traveling, so now we will take this with us when we go somewhere. Meanwhile, it can hang with me in my office. It fits and looks great on my desk.

Always works great and a good size for the price. I have all the Echo Show devices and they all work well for me. It has a great speaker and it's big enough to see the front doorbell without having to squint. It always hears me when I speak to it, and I love that it connects to all my smart devices easily. Highly recommend. I've gotten one for everyone in my family.

I have one of these in almost every room of our house they are very handy

Purchased this product to replace my Echo Show 5 (Black). It had been starting to bug out and crash on me so I decided it was time for an upgrade. The Show 8 is great! It's so much louder and I love the bigger screen. I use my Show to drop in on family and they say the sound and camera quality is a big improvement, which actually convinced my mother to go out and upgrade as well! Definitely recommend.

Ok I have to admit, I initially bought this as a gift for someone else so I had to set it up and worked with to help explain it. After a day with it I was hooked and 1 day turned to 2weeks then her I am. I like this product. Simple work well with other gadgets and learns faster than my google. sorry Google....it sounds better too

My wife and I had purchased this exact model about 6 months ago and it's been great. More recently we purchased two more for our parents, so we could see them while keeping socially distant. Setup is a breeze. My non-techy parents had it up and running in about 10-15 minutes. An Amazon account will need to be created if you don't already have one. No worries though, it's free!! Once set up, the voice recognition software starts learning the way you speak and gets better the more it's used. The video call quality is dependent on your internet connection. When used with a reliable and speedy connection, the video quality is excellent. We have 400/400Mbps and it's smooth as butter. We also like the recipe suggestions, we try a new one every week. Sometimes that results in takeout, but it's still fun. I also like that we could create our own album for the screen saver. There's even more, such as quiz games, the convenience of having Alexa to remind me that I ordered dog food 3 weeks ago and should probably order more, and the list just keeps going. The echo show has been perfect for us and I would definitely purchase again.

Having a Echo 1st Gen and Echo Plus I decided to purchase the Echo Show 8 in order to have the ability to view video when using online news feeds and for home security. The Echo Show 8 comes preloaded with Tubi, and Hulu which does provide interesting contents if you done mine watching on an 8” screen. You can also request and watch your favorite YouTube videos without the need of a subscription service. If you’re subscribed to prime video then you have access to the full Amazon library. It is also good for calling friends or family members and being able to see one other when you’re unable to use FaceTime. Having the ability to drop in on older parents is an plus, and being able to drop in from your mobile devices to check in on your home while you are away give you an extra layer of home security. The Echo Show 8 doesn’t do anything more then any of the others echos beside having the capability of video, and it’s sound quality isn’t much better when considering that it does have two stereo speakers on either side. I enjoy watching my pictures as background photos, but it is a bit annoying having the constant “TRY this” message appear at the bottom of the screen and not having the option to eliminate it. That explains my evaluation of 4 Stars. I am contempt with my purchase since it fulfills my desires and requirements. Also I got it on sales during the holidays and it included a free echo dot.

Echo Show works great and has great sound for listening to music. It is very easy to use and figure out. I ordered it online the picked it up at the store. The staff at the store was very good and was able to get it in a very short time. I got it at a sale price which made it a very good value. You always have a good experience at Best Buy!
