Honestly, I sat at Best Buy trying to decide between the echo show vs echo dot and I chose the show. I don’t regret it one bit, the screen is large, the speakers are pretty impressive with just the right amount of bass. My favorite part about it is the sleep sound and the 100+ different white noise to sleep to. I’d 200% recommend this, don’t think; just buy it!

I love my Alexa! It's like having a personal assistant on hand 24-7 and you can even make phone calls from it as well from the numbers in your cellphone. You can also like other Alexa devices in the home for surround sound when playing music! At first I thought it was too big but after a while you get used to it

I love it! I am able to watch netflix, youtube, and etc. I am able to listen to music. I have it in my kitchen so I can keep myself entertain while cooking. It does what I need. I am able to make calls without using my phone and they don't have to have an Echo show. I have no complaints so far.

It's easy to use with good quality. I have face couple of issue after using it. Its good for basic use but not good what I was expecting.

I bought this for my mom and she loves it. She has a smart home with Alexa and needed a video display for her bedroom. It was super easy to set up and the instructions are simple enough. The picture quality is very good, and the color is nice and vibrant. The speakers are clear and easy to understand when someone is speaking.

The echo show 8 is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. It allows me to be able to play shows from cooking and Netflix to playing music and videos. It also allows me to be able to talk to anyone or room in the house that has an echo dot. I can look up the weather. Ask questions. It’s like having an iPad or tablet at my fingertips without having to touch it with dirty hands. Would recommend to everyone...

I use it the kitchen for recipes and to see who’s at the door with ring camera.

I love using my Echo show! We have Echo dots, shows, towers and spots all over the house.. BUT THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE. It has a larger screen which makes it a lot easier to read recipes in the kitchen. The speakers on it sound amazing, almost like a mini boom box. The picture on it is clear so I can see loved ones, and follow along to the lyrics of my favorite songs.

Love these Echo devices - I have multiple units through out the house - and gave to family members to be able to keep in touch- This one my daughter connects to her baby monitor to keep an eye and ear out on the little one though out the night! Good for a small movie player with Amazon Prime- music- Picture frame too! Can talk with people face to face too.

For the price, I expected more. Why should I pay Amazon to snoop on me? It’s a good timer for the kitchen and plays music. Hard to find real value beyond that.

The Amazon Echo Show 8' is a marvel of technology! I love the clearness of the screen and the wide variety of everyday items that the system can do! From taking down lists to playing songs on demand, the Echo Show can do it! I like the fact that you can change "her" name. By default, the system becomes operational upon hearing you say "Alexa" . . . there are a few other options you can change it to. I've chosen the option of "Echo" in honour of Eliza Dushku's character on the TV show "Dollhouse". I wish that we could customize names more than the built-in allowed ones (Alexa, Echo, or Computer) but at least there is an option. This is especially good if you have multiple devices in the same household, possibly within hearing distance of one another. It's also good if you want to recreate the scene of Scotty talking to the 1980's computer from Star Trek's "The Voyage Home" film. :-) I've used both the five inch and the eight inch versions of the device and I would absolutely advise getting the eight inch. The price difference is usually negligible, but even if the five inch is on a super sale, the eight inch is worth the difference. I'm looking forward to learning all the rest of the features that my Echo Show has under the hood!

I could not be happier I made this purchase!! So pleased! Mine is in my bathroom and it does everything from setting timers to playing music to playing Netflix and Hulu and a whole list of other things while I’m getting ready!! So awesome. Highly recommend. Will be purchasing a couple more for different areas of my house now!!! Don’t hesitate on this one.

The bass is amazing! The video is pristine and crisp!

Love the screen and being able to video chat with relatives fairly quick. sound is amazing for it being small. Does not always respond right away like the other echos.

Bought this unit for my daughter for video calling. It was simple to set up by my 9 year old granddaughter. She had it set up in minutes. It's the perfect size. Very good speaker. Music sounds great and volume is pretty loud. Great for kitchen or bedroom. Still learning all the Alexa or Echo commands. Has some pretty cool games. Great for recipes in the kitchen. Highly Recommend.

To say I LOVE this echo show 8 is an understatement. It's wide screen, loud speaker, sleek look, and wonderful features are amazing. I love the echo in general but this is wonderful. We use it for everything! Get one, you wont be sorry. I thought the smaller one was too small. If you're going to get something with a screen, get a screen that you can see!

I use this every day as a clock, alarm, for playing music, for seeing new recipes I'd like to try from the ones that pop up. Great device!! I also have 4 Echo Dots around the house that I can play in sync with the Echo Show 8. Nice to not have to play just the Echo Show loudly enough by itself to hear in the other rooms.

Was new to Alexa from having the Dot. We found this beauty after looking into a display for the kitchen for recipes. This can do so much. It becomes a karaoke machine when playing music, displays videos and news stories, you can drop in on your friends through the camera for video chats and of course it will display your recipes while cooking.
