have the Echo 5 in all my rooms and love them. Decided to buy the 8 for the kitchen for the larger screen. Love it! The only thing I wish they had kept the same are the watch faces. No choice like with the 5. The sound quality is great as well. I use it with my Ring and love that I can easily see any of my cameras anytime,

I had an Amazon 5 show so when Best Buy put the Amazon 8 on sale. I purchased it. I’m so happy with the 8 the sound is better and the larger screen is a plus. It was easy to hook up I just turned it on and it prompted me thru the whole install. When Best Buy puts the larger Show on sale I’ll get that one I’m hooked.

Started with an echo show 5 and then upgraded to an 8. Bigger is better, but bigger is brighter. I feel like if it weren’t for the much better speaker I would love the echo 5 back into the bedroom. It’s responsive, fast, does what it should. Just wish you could shut the screen off at night.

Love the Amazon products for smart home usage. Easy to set up and use. We use them to create our shopping lists, lighting control, music throughout the house and to answer those random questions that seem to pop up in conversation.

Love the size. The speaker sounds great. Easy set-up.

It works great almost. Keeps losing my contacts and the music only plays about 45 minutes before shutting down. Sound is great and so is the picture so it does what I bought it for pretty much. Would say I would buy it again but already have and now have 2

Got this on a Christmas sale. After reading a few reviews, decided on the 8". Better screen than the smaller model and the larger model is just too expensive. This model fits great on the kitchen counter. The screen is much more rich in color than I expected. Same for the sound, deep bass.

Bought for mother to communicate with grandkids and family. Thought the bigger screen and would be better for her plus sitting on a table/stand is a lot better for her instead of holding a phone for long periods of time for facetime. Plus we synced all her appointments on it too to show her periodically. Great device.

I originally purchased the 5" version but it was just too small for my room. So I decided to upgrade to this one and it's really a perfect fit. Easy to setup and get started using. I've been enjoying figuring out what all this thing can do. Plus, I moved the 5" version into my kitchen.

Couldn't have asked for a better product when it comes to the Echo Show 8"! The screen size is just perfect and the display quality is better than I was expecting. The sound is exceptional as well. There are so many things the Echo Show can do that it seems like there isn't anything it can't do!

The speaker on the Echo Show 8 is amazing. Purchase it for the speaker quality alone. You can program it to make calls using contacts in your phone. You can also make videos calls. The apps are a bit hard to maneuver. I would purchase this product again.

I love having music and access to recipes right in my kitchen. Doesn't take up much space on counter. I'm able to request my particular type of music but the recipes do not match our life style. However, I do believe I can reset some programming to have Alexa pull up vegetarian and vegan recipes from our favorite chefs, I just haven't had the time yet. I also love, just being able to talk and find out info about the day, weather, etc. Can do this hands free while getting my morning tea.

I love the Show!!!! I enjoy the different things that scroll by, as well as being able to choose my theme. I love being able to watch shows or make calls, play word games, get the weather, etc. It was easy to set up and for a gray-haired person, that's a MUST.

Purchased three Echo Shows: one for us, my elderly in-laws and a relative in a nursing home. The purchase was made so everyone could see each other during COVID-19. All three devices were registered to my Amazon account (the others don’t have Amazon accounts or cell phones). All of my contacts were visible in all three devices. I didn’t like that my contacts were visible in the nursing home where our relative lives. While he receives excellent care, you can’t trust every employee and employees have access to his room. I feel this is an invasion of privacy. I contacted Amazon about removing access to my contacts on the devices: they stated that this subject is reported in their Privacy Notice (lots of legal small print). I pointed out that this subject is not covered in their marketing materials. After a lengthy discussion, eventually they instructed me how to remove access to the contacts in the Alexa app. Because all devices are registered to my Amazon account, the contacts are blocked from all devices (you can’t pick and choose which device to block them). We now have a closed network with just the 3 devices; we can’t communicate with others unless I unblock the contacts. That is fine for now. Another thing to be aware of: every time one of the other two devices calls the Echo Show in our home- my cell phone would ring in the Alexa app. This occurred even though I blocked Alexa notifications from my phone. I set up the Alexa app on my iPad and removed it from my cell phone. The same situation occurs on the iPad, but I don’t carry my iPad with me at all times, so, the annoyance is minimized. Now, the positives. Our relative in the nursing home is in his 50s and hasn’t seen any family members since March. He has joy in being able to see his family again. It’s not the same as physical visits, but it makes his day that he can reach out when he wants to talk and he doesn’t need help from the nursing home staff to call us. Also, my elderly in-laws and wife love all the music options that Alexa provides. Alexa opens up a world of easy access information and entertainment.

I have the 5” version, but I have to say I like this one better, mainly for the sound. It would be better for watching movies also, but I rarely do that. The screen is crisp and clear, the sound is pretty amazing for the size, and it of course works seamlessly with Amazon Music. Exactly what I wanted.

I use it with my ring doorbell and works fantastic I can see who’s at my door now, Very easy to use and has multifunctions I can listen to music and the alarm can be customized to your own music And watch amazon prime Great product especially if you are a prime member already and have their amazon music app.

Bought this for elderly family member in Assisted Living. It was not as easy as expected to set up (family member doesn't have a smart phone). It is connected to my cell phone, so it rings when other family members are calling the person in Assisted Living. Overall, it was a great purchase because, although not as user-friendly to set up, once it is set up, it is super simple and easy for elderly person to answer calls. Has been a life-saver to be able to see faces during Covid.

I love the Alexa system in my own home -- and what better way to practice SAFE social distancing. I purchased small and large Echo Shows for most of my family and friends at this point. During COVID times - I can have a virtual toast with friends who I don't get to see in person. I can connect with my elderly mom out of state because travel is restricted --and she can actually HEAR me on the device. My daughter has one at college and after Christmas, my niece and nephew will have one too. Staying connected was never easier. This does not even bring to light the countless other dependencies I have on my echo/alexa… from grocery lists to daily reminders and weather reports. Fact checking -- also easy to do. Alexa has officially joined our family!

I bought this upgraded Echo Show for our kitchen. I use it for the basics such as time and temperature. Also, I love using cooking timers, online recipes, and How to videos on Youtube. It's a great asset to my kitchen. Plus, I can play music to pass time while I am cooking and cleaning.
