Her response to our commands is still random more than we like. I love the screen. We successfully taught our 85 year old father to call us and answer our calls... so much better than the smartphone. And playing with drop in calls within our home is fun for my daughter... sound quality is great, video is great, camera is mediocre, but it’s weird to take pics on it anyway. My daughter got hers at Christmas and this is the upgraded version so the video has a privacy option... nice addition

I have the original 10" show and 2 Show 5s. The 8 seems like it is the perfect size and the price can't be beat compared to the 10". Does everything you would expect from the Amazon show series. I like that you can turn off the camera if you want privacy.

We enjoy our Echo Show 8. We have 2 Google Home speakers, so I was reluctant first to switch to Echo Show. At the end I’m glad that I made the switch, because now I have a display screen that goes with an amazing speaker.

It’s the best visual (screen) voice assistant, that acts as both tablet, tv and your assistant. I bought 3 of these for every living room and my office. You can connect this with your security devices and video call each other’s room and whoever owns an echo show

Comes in handy when looking at a recipe and making the dish. Hand free recipe reading and directions is super useful! Also provides some entertainment while cooking or washing dishes. Face camera phone calls are also really nice and simple to use. The screen size is great

I purchased this for my teenage son. I can video call him from my room or vice-versa just if we have a question or just to say hi. He also controls his ceiling light, fan & desk led's it's just fun for him.

This is a fun gadget. It is will make phone calls (out going), give you weather stats, answer question and the list goes on. I am finding more things it can do with the help of skills (apps). The screen is just the right size and twin speakers make it sound remarkable.

Great product and easy to connect especially during the time of Pandemic. Compatible with other smart devices. Not only can you make calls, you can watch videos and have Alexa show you recipes vs the predecessors that are all audio. Great little device.

I love this device. The screen is a nice size. Easy to set up. Has so many features that I haven’t had time to explore, but I learn something each time I use it. Great for home communication.

I’ve purchased an Echo Show 5 and an Echo Show 8 and I love them. 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the livingroom. I have them both attached to surround sound systems and they sound great. They are very versatile and easy to use. I highly recommend you buy at least one!!

I bought one for myself and one for my sister and her family. It’s been life changing for both of us. We live states apart. We love being able to send little messages and “hugs” back and forth. I could never get my husband to add things to the list but now he tells Alexa and it syncs to the app so grocery trips are so much easier. You can watch cooking videos and display a few family photos that come up as a screen saver.

The Echo Show 8 is a great product, speakers are good and it is easy to use and set up. I use it for monitoring my house with no issue at this time. I bought the external cameras from Blink and they work flawlless.

What surprised me is the speaker quality. It use it as a computer speaker and it sounds like the Bose companion. Display is good. I haven't really set it up for video calls since I don't need that feature. Price is good too if you got it on sale.

I have it in my kitchen. Was very simple to set up basically just plug it in and your ready to go. Very simple to use screen is perfect for people with vision issues and it dims down at night. I absolutely love it and have used it more in my kitchen than I had a roof ally thought.

Can't live without this. Great sound and picture for such a small thing. Didnt realize how much i liked the echo show 8 until mine fell in the dogs water bowl and was ruined. I had to replace it.

I received my new Echo Show 8 - HD 8" smart display with Alexa. I had it unpacked and connected to my WIFI within 30 minutes. I have 3 Ring cameras, front door bell, a front & back yard motion light cameras. Once I followed the steps to add Ring in the Alexa app, like 2 minutes, It was so intuitive I don't know what I did right but another 5 minutes I said Alexa show front door and she said okay and there was my front door camera on the screen. Then I said Alexa, show back which is what I named the devise "back" and she said okay and showed the back yard camera, same with the front successfully. I have many more smart devices the Alexa app found on my wi-fi so I'm excited to figure out how to add them. Also, now I understand the importance of naming the devices. Alexa only understands exactly what you name them in the devise list for voice commands.

This is my second Echo Show 8. The sound is pretty good for the size and I don't hear any distortion even at full volume. I especially like that I can tune in a variety of broadcast and SiriusXM stations quickly and easily with a simple command or request.

The bigger screen makes a difference when using it for video chats. Other than that, the smaller one does the same job. I got this to pair it to my smart doorbell so its much easier to see who's at my front door than the smaller version.

We keep this one in the kitchen. So easy to use and has an answer to everything. We also have it paired with our receiver in the living room so instead of playing music just from the device, we can hear it on our sound system. So many uses!
