Our Alexa turns our lights on and off just by asking her to do it. We also have her set up to change the color to match the different seasons. She dims them for your romantic moods.. She plays music for me whenever I want. She also keeps my grocery list for me. All I need to do is ask her to add it to my shopping list. She plays games with me and tells me some really bad jokes that you just have to laugh at. She gives me the weather report whenever I want. When I go on vacation, I'm lost without her.

This was an upgrade from my original first generation echo. Was a great buy and a wonderful price. Large screen and excellent sound. I highly recommend

Big enough to easily see video chats, but not too big for the kitchen counter space. Sound is actually really good. I think the software is a bit slow and unresponsive, and not easily manipulated without the app, and then still not very customizable. But our two grandmothers are both using it without too much trouble.

The Echo Show 5 is a great little device but this larger 8 inch size allows for the screen to be better seen at a distance but does not take up all the space that the 10 inch Echo Show 10 does. Each Echo Show size fills a niche. I own all three sizes and am very happy with them. Sound is great. Responsiveness is great. Styling is pretty nice.

We are a family of 4 plus one dog and most of the time me and my wife are at work the echo helps us to see and communicate with the kids and with the dog when we are not home, very useful to us, even for scheduling and wanting to know what is going on around the world simply just ask "ALEXA WHAT IS".

Okay, this is the best purchase I've made recently. I love that I can see recipes in the kitchen while I"m cooking or watch youtube videos.

Works great to play music in a small area. I wish alexa was a bit more intelligent though. For the price it's great.

Great device a lot of features and uses. Picture quality is good with photos and videos great for displaying your photos from phone on Amazon photos (no need for separate digital photo frame). Sound is good, better then the newer Echo Dot for sure. Has decent amount of settings, but as most wish could get rid of annoying Alexa suggestions on screen often. Have not tried phone calls yet. Unit it well at responding from distance has a feature to turn down display at nighttime. Have not owned long but so far like it a lot wish i was able to get it for less as it was at $75. But went back to $99.

I started with an Echo Dot and was pretty impressed with the operation and sound. Best Buy had a special on the Echo Show 8 and I liked the thought of having video so I purchased two. The sound is pretty impressive for playing music and the video is a nice addition to the information that is provided by Alexa. I find myself spoiled with the amount of time I use them and listen to music while doing something. So, I purchased two more Echo 8's for different rooms as well as an Echo 5 for my bedroom nightstand.

The Echo Show is amazing, it has a very good sound, nice camera and is very easy to use!. Everything I need I have at my fingertips. I am really happy with this purchase, I loved.

Very easy set up. Speaker sounds great for the size. Works great with smart plugs. Alexa interact’s with ease. Camera has manual shutter for those worried about privacy.

This product is easy to use great quality good screen great volume and I liked it a lot I would highly recommend it to anyone that's looking for good quality merchandise

the Echo Show 8 has a screen that looks good. I find it difficult to set up anything on it because you need to use a tablet that has Alexa installed. It would be nice if you could set up routines on the Show itself. The Alexa app is not very intuitive to use. Also you need to know what verbiage to use so that the Show 8 will know what to do. Documentation is nonexistent. Have to do a google search to find out how to do anything. Also the Show 8 always scrolls 'things to ask Alexa' at the bottom of the screen. The only way I have found to stop this is to set the night mode to all the time. I have set it up to perform a few routines and it does do them correctly (as long as you have an internet connection) , so that is a positive. It has no battery so It needs to be plugged into a power outlet all the time. If you are watching something on it you can not carry it around and continue watching as you move. Too many drawbacks for me to recommend it

I love Alexa, the screen size it’s big and you can have pictures sliding during the day! The sound quality is really good you can use it as speaker
