We are n Alexa household with numerous Echo units in the home and car. We finally decided to buy the Echo Show and are completely pleased with the many possible benefits that the screen image adds. For example, we can see the lyrics to songs, even foreign language songs, which is helping our son learn a new language. Cooking is a breeze with the video playback of cooking demonstrations or just seeing the recipe on screen and allowing Alexa to speak the ingredients and cooking instructions. Then there is the quality video time with family and friends in this time of quarantine and sheltering at home.

Very happy with Amazon - Echo Show 8" Smart Display with Alexa - Charcoal.. Much better than my previous echo show5.. Bigger screen and better sound quality

Perfect size for where it's located. Bought a stand separately - I'd recommend that if you have it anywhere near where water may spill. Simple to set up.

Great product, works well with my security system. I enjoy listening to music, too, the speaker sounds great. Also the price was great $79.99.

Got this after my Echo Spot flaked out... it started to flicker and jump on screen. Well, I had Geek Squad protection that was going to expire the following month so even under this quarantine, I had to go in and return the Echo Spot and was offered to get the Echo Show 5 or 8. It was recommended to go with the 8 but I was afraid it'd be too big where I wanted to put it. Both were on sale, so that was a big plus...!!! It's a little big, but I've gotten used to it and was able to get it up and running in no time. I have the original Echo Show (10") and love all the Amazon Alexa line, so far...!!!

Love my Echo Show 8! Honestly I was extremely hesitant of allowing Alexa into my life, definitely thought of her coming into my life like she was a second wife, hated the idea. Eventually I gave in so that I could utilize the video calling feature to other Alexa devices and I'm so thankful I did. Now I'll admit that the "other woman" is in several of my rooms and even my car (absolutely love my Echo Auto!). This is actually the third Show I've bought and the 2nd Show 8.

Excellent image and sound quality. A great device to communicate with family/friends that you otherwise might not be able to see. Very easy to setup.

Simple set up, screen size and picture quality is amazing, perfect for kitchen use. The sound quality is great when compared to the regular echo dot.

Love the display size and all the help of Alexa. Turns off and on lights (smart bulbs),plays music,displays recipes and even tells me the weather.

The display on the echo show 8 is really good when watching t.v and movies.....I would definitely recommend this to anyone.. it’s the perfect size

Got this to replace first gen echo show. Design much better, does not look as clunky as first one. Great sound. Nice video display. Like the larger size.

I have a bedroom Show 5, a Show 10, and this 8 in a breakfast nook. Great balance of size, sound, and features. If you’re into the Amazon ecosystem these are great!

I love this thing, and I'm going to buy more soon! I bought this for my home office and she helps me keep up with tasks throughout the day as they come up. If I'm on the phone and a client ask me about something or needs me to take care of something, I merely ask "alexa remind me in 5 minutes to do ____". She shows me my calendar and keeps me entertained with music off my amazon account all day. Great device, plus I'm able to see and interact with anyone at my door with my Ring even at the office. I love it!

Purchased this as a gift for my grandmother. She has issues at times working her phone and hearing and this made a big difference. She now uses it constantly to use Alexa to call family and friends and we’ve been able to use it some for video calls with the kids. There are a few tricky things to get working as far as the Alexa/Amazon account with kids accounts. For the price this is a fantastic help and as an added bonus the fact that she can watch video content on it is superb
