Love the big screen, love that you can have it play videos and shows off of it. It’s like a mini tv. Such a great update from the echo spot.

the size screen is great its very loud and easy to use but it doesn't listen I have to yell and repeat commands often my echo dot listen on command a lot better the sale price was great

Alexa continuously gets more features. I can now see my ring devices though I wish the connection was faster. It's an intercom where I can call other rooms and I can even make phone calls. Sound quality is quite good and might be even better now that I adjusted the equalizier. Yes, it even has that. Picture quality is great. Though some people are annoyed at the messages, I find many very interesting. There are still limitations where you get the message, "Hmm, I don't know about that." Most times we laugh, but other times it can be annoying. Still, great device!

I love the larger screen. It is perfect for the kitchen and pulling up recipes. It was a huge help over the holidays. It sounds great too.

Great it lets me see my ring cameras and doorbell plus all the other things Alexa can do you can watch Netflix on it and YouTube as well.

The product is easy to use, basic skills and a little patience works great, try the tutorial don't just jump in because it can do so much more than just youtube and email. The quality of the video is really great, and the viewing screen is clear.

I bought this Echo Show 8 so that I could talk and see my father - who is in an assisted living facility and no guests are permitted in. I had to pre-set everything on it to make installation easier - which meant he needed a phone number, Amazon account, etc. so there was a bit of legwork involved (he does not have a smartphone or an Amazon account), but I was able to get everything working so it only needed to be plugged in and Network and pw inputted by his caretaker. While it is not as good as being there in person, it is way better than just a phone call.

Love the show. You can video call on it, i'f you ask the weather it will not only tell you but show you as well. Good speaker on it too.

Excellent screen, it’s easy to setup, it does a lot of things. Great sounding speaker. I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of getting one.

I had the Echo Show 5 and really like having this Show 8 because of the larger screen and also the speakers are really clear in this one.

I have linked Alexa to my Blink cameras and the doorbell. This allows me to check on any motion even if the doorbell has not been pressed. I can take photographs of the cameras at any time or watch a video directly on Alexa or on my smart phone. Setting of the Blink cameras is easy. If you are new to Alexa and connecting Blink to Alexa can be confusing on occasion. Once it set up it works well. I have smart lights, cameras, door bells, washing machine, all hook through Alexa. Unfortunately my AppleTV and door locks do not link with Alexa. I recommend you get one home system and stick with it. Overall this product appears to be of good quality and the speaker is quite good for listening to music while doing the dishes or other activities in the kitchen.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star rating. It does a lot of things well. What you should know is that Amazon rotates ads regularly throughout the display cycle and you can't do anything about it. It is great seeing it flip through your friends and family pictures then to be interrupted by ads for things no one cares about. I don't know if the google version does the same thing but it is annoying enough that if I was to start my smart house from scratch I would consider going that direction.

This was purchased solely for dropping in on family members that may need care. The bonus is the sound from the speaker is rich and full so voices, music, and the occasional recipe video sound great. If you're in the Amazon ecosystem, it's a no-brainer when it's on sale. Even if you're in multiple ecosystems (like me), it seems each has its purpose. We use Google and their assistants for almost everything, but there are always great deals on the Echos and their drop-in functionality is priceless for checking in on loved ones that may not be able to operate these devices.
