I purchased this unit to replace the Amazon - Echo Show 5 Smart Display with Alexa - Charcoal to give it a try and I loved it so much I bought the larger Amazon - Echo Show 8 with Alexa - Charcoal. I replaced my old clock radio that I had to manually set for the weekends with Alexia and couldn't be happier. I hope to buy the Amazon - Echo Show (2nd Gen) - Smart Speaker with Alexa and built in smart home Hub - Charcoal when it goes on sales hopefully this year. The sound quality is amazing, much better than I thought it would be. You can't go wrong, buy it.

Simple and easy setup process and the screen size is just great. Does exactly what it says and just works great. Volume and display is just wonderful.

The sound quality is excellent. We just bought a printer that is compatible with Alexa. We were able to print off our grocery list that I had created by using Alexa. With the Alexa app on my phone I was able to then have the list printed. If you don't want to print it off you can have Alexa create a grocery list which will appear on your phone. As you shop you can mark off the items on your grocery list. Another thing I like is; I told Alexa to remind me of my appointment, to take my medicine, and alert us to any bad weather. My husband has been able to talk and see his mother that is in quarantine. We're still learning the features that Alexa has to offer. I didn't give it 5 stars because 3 different times it had to be unplugged due to being stuck and not able to move on. Unplugged and plugged back in fixed the problem.

Inexpensive speakers/touch screen interface in the Echo/Alexa/Ring family. The ready made skills are nice but I think more than 99% out of the thousands skills available are a waste of time and computing power. AI is in it's infancy, it works well with the main skills developed by Amazon but is iffy for real full proof automations applications. There are still a lot of constructions and limitations imposed by Amazon in the dev platform. This is a critique of the dev platform, the Echo screen is perfect.

Perfect size for my night table. Great picture good sound and volume level. Works great with my door cameras.

I love Alexa. It takes some educating to get things the way I want them, but the Echo Show is quick to respond. I was able to set everything up through my Amazon Alexa app which did take a couple of days to actually work. Once it did, I have not looked back. I especially like the way you can drop into a room to communicate with others. The sound is clear and allows easy conversing from one person to another.

These really are great. The size of the screen is the best part, and the sound is "bigger" as well compared to other Alexa devices.

Great device. Very useful in the kitchen. Love to drop in on friends. Got it on sale and would recommend to others.

We love the Echo show 8. We use it all the time for games, trivia, music and video calling. The visual screen is clear and the sound is good.

The echo spot, which I believe is no longer sold, gave one that traditional, but digital presence. I use the Show 8 as a bed room clock as clock in my bedroom and I could also visually answer the door, view my security cameras, turn off the lights, and other integrations. The speakers are improved over the Show 5, the display is pretty good, and it has more mics for listening in. Overall, I didn't view or hold the Show to the specifications. I measure the Show on what I can accomplish with it... Echo has a large reach with other appliances and devices. J

Love this product. I can finally see my grandchildren when talking to them. Screen size ok. Wish it was bigger. Very easy to use !

I got 2. 1 for myself and 1 for my parents. They are great for keeping up with them, during Covid. Easy to set up and use. As they got use to this, i continued adding additional items to it. I got them the smart light bulbs and outlet plugs. They love only having to tell Alexa to turn on/off lights, TVs etc. I don't have to worry about them falling trying to do those things manually anymore. This show can do so much for them and myself.

I love echo devices and this is just an add on to my collection. Larger screen than the five and sits well on my kitchen counter

Speaker sounds great, very glad I purchased the larger 8” model for my kitchen. The larger screen definitely helps for recipes.

Best thing I ever bought so far!! My video called with my family is clear and my ring doorbell is fabulous on the device.

great sound for a small unit, its like a little computor you talk to. Ask it a question, get a answer.

Great for visiting with relatives in other states. Nice to see their faces. Also great since covid restrictions limit getting together with friends and family near by. And it is a nice assistant to have around to ask sports scores, weather and miscellaneous questions. Great for listening to music too. Thought I would hate it when the Dot was first introduced into the residence. But loving it now.

I bought this as a gift for my grandmother who lives across the country so that we could keep in contact. She was so happy to see that we can now video call when ever we want. My sister helped set it up for her, which wasn't too hard. She really likes how easy it is use. The call quality is great as long as your internet is good. There are too many features to list here but it is a great investment.

The Echo Show 8 with Alexa is very useful in my kitchen. I use it for finding great recipes (no cookbook needed}, length of time to cook different foods, substitutes for ingredients, internal temps for meats, and simply checking the weather forecast. I already had the Echo Show 5, but decided to get a bigger screen because it was on sale. I do use it occasionally to talk to my daughter who live in another town. It has made my life easier.
