Way better than just having the echo dot or flex. The bigger screen is really convenient when watching clips or movies.

Best thing I ever bought so far!! My video called with my family is clear and my ring doorbell is fabulous on the device.

This is a great unit. Easy to set up and use and sounds great. . Connects to all the smart home devices we have with ease. My only issue is that when it is connected to my Nest cameras it tends to buffer a lot.

I have the smaller Echo Show already. Like it, but the Echo Show 8's higher resolution and larger screen make a world of difference. I use it to view Wyze cameras, so sharp. HD quality. Alexa is also is faster to respond than the smaller echo show 5. This is the 1th gen, but the 2nd generation has even a faster processor. I would have gone for the 2nd gen, but at the time the price difference was larger than it is now.

This is great to have in the kitchen. Can display recipes on screen. If looking for new recipes, the search engine it uses is lacking. However, you can upload your own recipes. I also love the option to connect to Bluetooth. I can listen to my playlists from another app. The speaker is of high quality. Love the camera privacy option as well. Easy to turn on and off without going into settings. It’s physically located on top of the speaker.

Easy set up. Sound is good. Picture quality is good. Use it with my security camera.

I recently switched some of my smart home items from another well known brand to Amazon Alexa. It was so easy to set up that I was amazed. I plugged the Echo Show 8" into the outlet and in a very brief time it was fully functional. I also find it to be more informative and more user friendly. I still have some more items to purchase, but the Echo Show was certainly a good start.

Really like this item. Listening to music, watching video. Like asking alxea questions. Weather, time receipts. Etc.

I speak to Alexa everyday. Very helpful. The screen size is good. Color and sound is good.

Amazon echo is a very useful device. Its got multiple skills. I get my daily news, my amazon reminders, shipping alerts etc on Echo. Besides it integrates seamlessly with the Ring security system. My kids get to see who is at the door automatically. The speaker on the device is pretty good for the size. It connects to my You tube account and plays my favorites. Overall, a useful device..did I say that earlier :)

This is the greatest creation ever. Amazon is awesome! Shows me my ring cameras, video chat and can play Hulu and prime video

I have been eyeing the echo show line since it came out. I have several 2nd gen dots and enjoyed them so wanted to upgrade my Alex experience. Almost picked up a bogo for the show 5 a few months back and glad I held off because I jumped on the deal of the day and scored a bogo on these Show 8’s and I am very happy with the purchase even though one arrived with a nick in the side but BestBuy was great and offered a replacement or discount to keep the item. All in all these are great smart displays with a crisp HDish picture and very good sound. Just wish it had the light for notifications and you could customize it a bit more. Also the mic array could use some improvement. I find myself having to shout and speak slowly for it to recognize what I am saying. Hopefully the next gen has those improvements but for now it’s a solid choice and happy with the purchase.
