I purchased the device for my aging mother who is having vision trouble seeing the cell phone and her home telephone to make phone calls. Now she’s able to just say Alexa please call.... and it does exactly that. Alexa is giving her a sense of independence again and we are very thankful for that. The downside is it has to be connected to her cell phone and I thought that you could just program it to make calls but it still works out for her benefit.

Easy to set up, looks and sounds good, nice to have camera alerts audible

Nice size display, good sound quality. I like how easy it was to integrate with my Ring cameras.

Works as advertised. Easy to setup and good sound quality speaker. Screen isn’t great for high resolution video or streaming tv or movies. Easier to change settings than other Echo devices since you can use the touch screen.

Great video quality. Conveniently sized for use just about anywhere.

Me and my parents use it! I bought this for my Mom for Xmas and a hit with all 3 of us! It's like another member of the family and she's really easy to use. You can tell her to play music, ask about the weather forecast, etc. The possibilities are plentiful. The sound quality is the best and I got it on-sale back in November. Highly recommend for any family member.

Bought this for my home office now working at home. Big screen is easy to see. I use it for anything Alexa. Wife had to go to Florida to help with grand kids out of school. We talk everyday on this and her Echo 5. Lots better than a phone. I watch front door RING for deliveries also. Big screen is beautiful and easy to see. Worth every bit. I use the smaller Echo 5s around the house for other purposes and to see where son is when need to talk to him.

I have an echo dot, which I am now using in my office/den/sewing room. I purchased the Echo Show because of the large display, the option of rotating screen pictures of a particular season, weather display, alarm setting and music suggestions based on my listening pattern. Of course it displays the time and the screen brightens or dims based on the amount of light in the room.I love it.

I love this unique, portable and fun device. It has become my best friend, assistant and favorite device. It has nice sound, makes calls, and answer thousands of questions. It is a very fun device.

Upgraded from the 5" to the 8". While the gen 2 is available at the time of my purchase, I went with the gen 1 since the main difference seemed to be the camera quality only (1mp to 13mp, but I do not use this for video conferencing). I do believe the video can also be used as a security feature/camera as well, but opted with the gen 1 since it was at a good price at the time of purchase.
