I bought this for my 90 year old mother and wasn’t quite sure if she would use it. She’s able to call her grandchildren, and friends with ease. She uses it for weather, the date, to listen to music, and to find answers to questions she might have! I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was for her to use it! She loves that it’s not complicated or confusing to use! Great product for the elderly or anyone who is housebound!

Great picture, screen is the perfect size for viewing while sitting on the couch. This was purchased to upgrade our existing system that has two Echo Show 5s and the Show 8 is just a major addition. On a side note, kudos to Best Buy, they had it in stock, delivered in 2 days when even Amazon was out of stock.

I love the size of the screen and the quality of the pictures.

Got it for my mom for Christmas! She immediately fell in love with it and uses it everyday, mostly to have music playing all day. Connects to her Pandora, lets her know when Amazon packages are delivered, and she can view the Ring camera all without having to lift a finger! All voice recognition. Best part is it works both in Spanish and English, so she can direct it in Spanish and we can do it in English!

I love my echo show I didn’t know what I was missing out on I can listen too any kind of music I choose to and ask question I need too,I can get recipes on the spot I wish everyone could have one especially us seniors it’s so helpful to me that’s why I say I didn’t know what I was missing out on.I rate it a 5

The Show 8 itself does not move like the new Show 10 does, but the camera can still follow you and zoom in, in about a 120 degree arc in front of the Show 8. --NEW PROCESSOR: MediaTek MT 8183 octo-core processor, upgraded from MT 8163 in 1st Gen. This results in a faster, more responsive touch screen. Slight difference, but noticeable. --ADAPTIVE COLOR: Adjusts the color and white balance of the screen to the lighting in the room. This results in clearer, brighter looking images, even though the screen hardware is the same. --MOTION SENSOR: Camera detects motion activity, and can now trigger Routines. ie turning lights on when sensor detects a person in the room. --REMOTE VIEWING: Use the Alexa app on your phone to remotely view the camera of the Show 8, so you can check on your home while you're away. There is a big notice displayed on the Show 8 screen that says it is being remotely viewed.

I loved mostly everything about it! It’s truly amazing and beyond helpful to me every single day. I can look up recipes, ask questions, add things to my shopping list which is a Huge help, and also search music from streaming services that I have. It doesn’t always recognize the song or artist I’m looking for, but for the most part Alexa gets it right. Such a great investment for sure!

Very good product, screen is big enough, and speaker work great

Bought this for my mom to help her automate her house and she loves it. She has her cameras and doorbells all connected to it so she can see it all from her chair without getting up. When its time to go to bed she just says goodnight and it turns all her lights off and sets her alarm. Made her life so much easier!

I had the Echo Show second gen and was satisfied with it. I listened to music on it for the most part. I bought the Echo Show 8" because it was on sale at a great price. Oh my....the difference in the sound quality is amazing! I also like the fact the screen stays awake showing the lyrics. Very satisfied.

The sound and screen for the night stand is great! I would choose this over the google anytime

Got this as a Christmas present for my wife. She has it located in the kitchen, and enjoys listening to music, checking the weather, etc while preparing meals. The 8" size works just right for us in this setting. She at first wasn't sure how much she would enjoy it, but has told me that it was one of her better presents this Christmas. It was easy to set up with our home wifi network.

We have turned into an Amazon household. We have 3 fire sticks, Fire Recast, 4 Echo dots, an Echo, and now this Echo Show. We placed this Show on our kitchen island and it comes in very handy. We use it just like any other Echo, but the screen adds a lot more versatility. Our son uses it at lunchtime to watch YouTube. Upcoming events display on the screen as well as random suggestions and facts. There is a lot of customization to the Home Screen and for now we have tied it to one of our Facebook albums. We also have a Ring doorbell which displays on the Show as well. You can get video and audio from the doorbell on demand and will automatically come up when it is pressed.

Neat device to control my smart devices, set alarms, get news and weather updates, ect. I bought one for my son also and he has been able to call me on it when he's at his mother's house. I do like the feature of a manual camera switch to shut the lens off. Fairly easy to program but don't mumble your words. Overtime it does seem to learn from what you tell it. Still playing with the different features so I still learning as I go. My kid is much better at electronic devices than I am! Only giving four-stars because you have to buy a separate stand for $20- if you want a different display angle. For the price of this thing compared to how much the stand probably cost to make overseas, it should be included free with the device

Setup was easy. We've barely scratched the surface of what it can do. Mostly background music. The sound is better than the smaller similar units, but if you're interested in a higher fidelity, syncing a Bluetooth speaker, soundbar, or headset is simple. We added this to a pair of Dots, and had to look online for instructions to make them a coordinated group, but once found, it was simple.

Easy set up. Great screen size and clarity. Integrates with RING alarm system.

The Echo Show 8 is really a good buy. We bought it sit in our kitchen to work with our Ring Doorbell. When anyone push the doorbell or if someone is approaching the front door, the video of who's there is shown. Also, you can talk with Alexa and use the internet. The Echo Show is worth it.
