Awesome! We purchased 3 of these for our family. 1 for my wife’s parents so we can video chat with them and ‘drop in’ if we ever have any concerns about their safety or well-being. We use the other two around our house for all the other functionality. They were a great upgrade from our Echo dots.

Purchased this device for my elderly Mom as a video chat device that doesn’t require her to push any buttons to accept a video call and works great. Makes an audible alert when I drop in for a video chat. Also have it set for photo display during the day and to have the display turn on/off every day at set times. There are are also many other features.

She’s annoying but it comes handy when needed to know something

This is the second Echo show 8 that we have purchased. The first was for ourselves. There’s so much that it does. My wife enjoys getting recipes from it and I like listening to music. But we have barely touched the surface of what it does. We purchased the second one to give as a gift. The 8 is the perfect size for us. Catch it on sale and you won’t be disappointed.

Good big screen it’s also loud it’s perfect for music.

Great deep sounds from the onboard speaker. Amazon UI great but clunky for my level of tech ability. Find myself repeating commands more with this when compared to Googles competitive offering. Serves its purpose. Great option for a minimalist, tiny cabin or small housing customer. Smart home setup fairly simple with blink camera minus account setup with blink account page. Also Samuel Jackson available for voice commands and response. Amazon Prime video , music and shopping functions. Echo audio inter device connectivity in same home network even friends and family in other networks. Manual camera cover/slider was thoughtful.

Highly recommend very good product. Could be used anywhere.

I am loving the world of Alexa! I have two of the 5" and this 8", and my television has it as well. I have the Alexa app on my phone, and just found out that through my phone I can say, "Alexa, make an announcement" and whatever my announcement is ("DInner is ready!") will broadcast across all my devices. When I ask Alexa to play a song, I am amazed by the sound quality.

Great value. Works with many smart devices. Lots of free apps, too.

Relatively easy to setup. Great for listing to music and setting a reminder.

I initially bought this for myself and my daughter so that we could talk to each other now that I'm in a different state. But I'm enjoying it for many reasons. The sound quality is fantastic. (I ask Alexa to play all kinds of music). She also keeps me updated on the weather, reminders, and when my Amazon orders will arrive. I love the Echo Show and you will too!

I purchased the larger 10" for us but realized that if I was going to get us one, I also had to get some for the family we intended to stay in touch with so ended up purchasing 3 of these during the Christmas season. Easy to set up and so far have not had any issues with either one of the three we purchased, It was a bit difficult for my parents to set up but with some help they were able to get it going.

Our family loves the Echo Show, This is our second one. We've been able to listen to our music, learn new things every day. The biggest takeaway for my family is, my daughter, wakes up goes to the kitchen, and says, Alexa, show me today's recipes. And she has become an amazing cook and she's still in elementary school. Can't rave enough about the Show

I really like the Echo devices, and the screen on this is great. If you want to display photographs, this is a far better option than a digital photo frame. I have not used it for video calls, but the screen comes in handy in many other ways. I don't think the speaker is as good as the new Dot, but still satisfactory.

Love it! I have the show 5 but this is so much bigger and sounds better.

This works better than expected. We haven't used Alexa before and it can be very helpful for making shopping lists, setting timers, answering questions, and playing music. We can turn our tv on and off and we purchased a google nest thermostat that we can control from anywhere. We have many more things to try but so far it has been very helpful.
