I already had an original 10" Show and a few 5" Shows, but this 8" is actually better to me and use it in my Family Room where we seem spend most of out time lately. I even programmed it to work with my Vizio and Directv cable box to turn them on and off. I prefer the Travel background.

The Echo Show is everything I had hoped it would be. 3 year old is able to access kids videos, I can request recipes and not have my laptop sitting on the counter while I cook/bake! Like the extended weather forecast at a glance. Have not tried video calls yet, but that is one of the reasons I chose this.

The Echo Show 8 is awesome, its the only affordable Smart Speaker / Video with a camera on it, and the camera works decently well. Everything is pretty seamless. The speaker sounds amazing, a lot of bass. I bought one for my mother in law so that we can chat with her easily and its so simple that even she has no issues using it. My only gripe is Alexa, I have an Alexa and a Google home next to it, and Alexa's voice recognition capability is terrible compared to Google's, it just doesn't work as well. But otherwise it works fine.

Had Alex before, returned it, this is so much better with a video screen, see recipes, the weather, music videos and so much more plus you can connect with other echo shows in your family! I got this one for my mum and she can control her TV, Alarm and lights which makes things so much easier

I bought the Amazon Echo Show 8 for my elderly mother. It is a perfect size for her to be able to see the screen. The Echo Show 5 is too small of a screen for an elderly person to see. She loves the display size.

Do enjoy using this echo show. I use it in the kitchen. It’s nice just to ask Alexa for a recipe,and she will bring a few up that you can view and see the ingredients,some will even show a video which is nice. You can load your own pictures and have it display them. The only problem is they don’t rotate at the speed you chose. I see that this is a problem with the echo shows from the reviews I have read. Other than that if you like Alexa,this will be a bonus for you with the screen. Very crisp screen

Use this in the kitchen and the features are great! I can watch videos, keep up with news, or even make video calls all while getting things done. The speaker quality is great and I love the ability to make announcements to other echos around the house when dinner is ready.

OMG! Great item that's easy to use. No regrets! Crisp picture and sound, so great to communicate with my elderly mom! She even playsusic, sings and dances in her senior apt now, and adds rinders so she doesn't forget things. Thanks Amazon for great product!

Being in different states, some times FaceTime just doesn’t cut it, especially with a family of four trying to cram our faces into the phone to catch up with grandparents. That’s where this decides excels, with the ease of use and larger viewing area - connecting is that much more enjoyable!!

This echo show is so much better than the older one I had. The screen is very clean, the sound is very clear and the new options for zoom, etc make this a very functional device to have around the house. We have ours in the kitchen and use it all the time.

I was gifted a google home and I decided to keep using Alexa and just use the google as a digital picture frame. The Alexa is MUCH bigger as far as screen size and the volume is amazing, I love that I can watch Hulu on it as I’m cooking dinner and be able to change the show directly on the device.

I didn’t know about this product. I bought the ring doorbell & this came included with a bundle. I absolutely love it. My dad even bought one because I told him how much I love it. You can do so much. I love saying “alexa show me the news” perfect way to start the morning.

Easy to setup, especially considering I have Amazon Echo dots, spots, and pluses all around my house. Nice crisp display. Good audio.

Now that I'm enjoying cooking I thought this would be a handy device for finding/displaying recipes and playing music or movies while I'm preparing meals. It does pretty well at this however there are a couple quirks - one namely being when I have a recipe or web page open after a period of time it reverts to the home page on its own but there doesn't appear to be a way to go back to what I was viewing. I haven't found a setting to stop that yet but I would think there is one. Sound, display quality and controls are excellent.

We bought the Amazon - Echo Show 8 Smart Display with Alexa as a gift for our daughter. She loves it. It has a nice big screen and has a lot of functionality. I don't think that we are using it for its full potential just yet but will over time.

We love this device - I get to talk and see my grand daughter who are 500 miles away. This is my third device, i brought this for my son. I was given a gift show 5 last year. We are telling everyone in the family to purchase show 8 it is worth seeing and talking to your family especially with Covid 19.

We absolutely love our Echo .... super easy to use and set up. We just tell it to turn on our lights, set the alarm for the next day, answer questions, etc ..... out grandkids think the coolest thing ever is to tell it to turn the lights on and off when they walk into the room...:)

Great sound for music. I programed my Ring security camera to my Alexa so when my camera detects movement Alexa lets me know there is movement detected and at what location. Just say Alexa show me the back yard or whichever location she stated there was movement.

I had purchased several of the larger Echo Shows because of the larger screen size for video chats. However, My youngest son & wife live in a very small apt. but wanted to be included in the video chats. so, I purchased this smaller unit. It still works just like the other one, but doesn’t take up as much space.
