Bought this for my elderly parents who live out-of-state and we wanted to keep in-contact, so we got them an Echo Show. We included an outlet and a smart bulb to make life easier and to keep in-touch during COVID-19 pandemic. Within minutes, they joined the digital age! Easy to setup and configure.

We love this Echo Show 8. The 5 is too small. The higher price is well worth it. All the Alexa apps are great. We love the pictures you can download from your photos. I even have NOAA weather on it to see the weather that is moving in. Wonderful addition. We have two. Definitely recommend.

The speaker on this little unit is impressive. This model is a mid-level device among the various echo shows amazon offers. Its nice to have for cooking recipes in the kitchen, random facts, video calls, and updates on packages arriving. My biggest complaint is that it doesnt display doorbell video of the amazon blink doorbell upon motion or someone pressing the doorbell.

Best purchase of 2021. It has all the features of an echo dot and more. Even without another person having an Alexa, they can download the Alexa app on their phone and video chat. My 3 year old watches movies, youtube and family members whenever he wants.

This thing is excellent, I don't know how I lived without it. I brought one for the bedroom and one for the kitchen. I look up recipes, weather anything. I got one for my daughter and she loves it too.

I bought this to replace an echo spot. The larger screen is a bonus plus it has good sound quality for such a small box.

Bought this as a gift for a family member. Excellent sound and easy to use. Very easy to stay connected with family!

We liked our Echo Show so much, we purchased several more as gifts for family and friends. It's nice to be able to see and talk to my family from my office while they're at home. It's also nice that I can ask Alexa for a recipe on a screen (larger than my phone) in the kitchen.

I really enjoy this Echo Show 8. I started with the Show 5 and I quickly decided that I wanted to upgrade to the big leagues and get the 8. This was a great choice. I've added additional smart plugs and lights to take advantage of all the bells and whistles that come with the show.

I'm loving my new toy. So much fun. I can ask her anything. She brightens up my day. When I need a joke I just ask her to tell me one. Sometimes they are not the funny, but she gets me through the hour. I love her and will be getting one for my mom.

amazon never disappoints with the Alexa products. we purchased 3 echo's, and this would be our first show smart display. we keep it in the kitchen and is so easy to use. especially for recipes, weather, and other misc. facts you need to know for the day.

I love this as well. I have the echo show five and this one. This one I use in my living room and it allows me to do like an actual picture show with my photos, I’m not a person I really like picture frames but I love pictures so this is the best of both worlds. Also it works very well with my ring 2

Got this on Black Friday sale for 64.99. Surprisingly good sound for what it is. Won’t blow you away, but as a small “radio” in the kitchen that also shows the video doorbell when someone comes to the house, it works great for both. Very happy with the purchase for the money.

Very easy to set up with options to answer phone calls, make video calls, access all your amazon apps. Lots to explore.

Bought three of these. One for my household and two to give to other family members. It's a great way to keep up with each other. I find that we talk more since we can see one another. I also love being able to ask Alexa questions while I'm cooking or being able to listen to music while cleaning.

I own the 10 inch echo this one was for a family member that lives a thousand miles away, I just love that we can stay involved in each other’s live through this device. I have bought serveral of the echos for family members ! And the James at the Tyler Best Buy was aooo helpfu! T

I got this for my kitchen expecting to primarily use it for recipes. However, I was surprised by the quality of the speaker which had quite a bit of oomph. The screen is bright and clear and Alexa is very responsive. I'm very happy with this addition to my collection of Echos.

I have enjoyed the Amazon Echo products, putting one in each room and linking them to about 50 smart devices. I bought the Show because of a sale and because I wanted the possibility of seeing who was at the front door (linked Blink camera) while I was cooking. What I wasn't aware of was that I can watch YouTube cooking videos while I'm cooking those recipes, that I can see the weather forecast, rotate my favorite pictures, do video calls and share pictures to similarly equipped friends and family members and scroll through my grocery list before getting Alexa to print it. It has worked so well that I bought one for my 95-yr-old mother (the purchase date shown here) linking her children and grandchildren to her unit. It is better than FaceTime or Zoom for a call, because it doesn't require my mother to touch or swipe anything to accept the call. And all of us can share pictures with her that play like a slideshow for her. She enjoys seeing the latest family photos. I have two complaints: one is that interacting with it is not very intuitive. Some functions are controlled by the app, some are controlled on the Show itself, and some require coordination between the two. It's hard to find instructions from Amazon or online that are clear, since there have apparently been several software updates. Secondly, like all of my Echo devices, I have to restart the Echo Show about once every 3-4 days, or otherwise the Alexa response time is slow to non-existent, particularly with smart home functions.

upgraded from an echo dot to the echo show and so glad i did! Love the large screen and being able to see the clock any time of day or night. After reading other reviews about the constantly changing Try Alexa suggestions i thought it would annoy me, but it is easily ignored..

I have these both at my office in my house and find them to be invaluable. There are so many things that can be accomplished with these devices such as instant access to weather, video chatting with other Show devices, instant access to news and news briefs, etc.
