I purchased this product so that I could more easily video communicate with my aging mother. Once I got it figured out it works great. However I have two criticisms about it.....1) setting it up so that myself and my siblings can use it as I had intended has proved to be difficult. The setup is not intuitive and I had to contact the help line several times. But I must say the help line is very efficient and helpful. The second issue is aiming the device so that my mom can be seen. The device needs some sort of adjustment device to aim it up or down more efficiently without having to purchase a separate stand. Other than that it's a cool little device.

The screen is great, but it shares any weakness of all the other Echo devices. It begins talking at times when it is not in use, it misunderstands simple commands and questions and it is very weak in finding information on the internet. I hope the software will improve in the future.

Bought this at a steal! It ended up cheaper than the older model. I love using this device to do a video call to my parents across the country.

Perfect unit. We set this up for the kitchen and it controls everything smart in the house. You can also call people easily and watch recipes as you cook! You wont regret this purchase.

We cut this for my mom so we can have video calls with her, it does work well but if you have another Alexa nearby it can get confused and the call will be answered by the wrong Alexa.

WIth the pandemic this past year, we needed a way to maintain communication with family. For parents that aren't tech savy, this was easy to set up and use

I bought this for my grandson so when he is at work he can video his 15 month old son and see/talk to him. They Love it! Thank You for the Great price also!

The Echo Show 8 has replaced a MacBook in our kitchen, for all the minor things you look up while cooking etc and offers a far wider offering of uses. It's fun to use and has simplified many daily functions.

Amazon has done it again with a great 8 inch smart display with Alexa at her best. The display is bright and the sound is great. Tell Alexa what you want and she delivers. Wonderful display

Wife loves everything about this Show 8. The display size makes for easy viewing and the sound quality is great. Checking in on the kids is also a plus that she loves!!! I think I have to get her one more

Bought for simple viewing of videos for our kitchen for all recipes. Did not know this would end up turning into our home PA system after adding a couple of echo dots. Works fantastic.

Love the sound. Works well with all other devices. I have four additional units and they work very well together and have a very clear picture when looking at videos

Echo Show 8 worked really well compare to my previous echo show 5. The screen is big enough to display my front and doorbell camera connected to the Alexa.

I first bought an echo show 2nd Gen (10 in) and Because I I got so impressed with all features, I decided to get the 8”. This one It’s even better cost/value. I would recommend it 100%

Love this product, easy to set up love that it works with ring cameras and other Amazon products. Makes life simpler who out having to look for your phone to see who is at your front door.

Got this one for my daughter, so I can see those grandbabies. It is perfect, she loves it. I had to get the smaller one for me because they only had 1 of the larger screens in stock.

I loved put music when I wake-up and Alexa remember me when I have appointments. That's sound very loud. So, I loved and I get 1 more to my home. Thanks Alexa for help me in my rushing days.

Love it. Perfect for a bedroom or even kitchen. I do recommend getting the charging base to adjust angle and be able to move it while using it.

Have had echo show 5 before but didn't like the smaller size. The size is great on this and I use it in the kitchen to pull up recipes and set timers. Works great for what I needed.

Overall such a great product from Amazon. Sound quality and screen quality are awesome on the show 8. It comes in handy when you have your ring cameras or security cameras set up as well! Would def recommend!
