Perfect size for where it's located. Bought a stand separately - I'd recommend that if you have it anywhere near where water may spill. Simple to set up.

I like it, bigger screen. Sound is better. I have the 5. sound is ok too. Media interface is great. I also have google nest hub. No offense google still smarter and has more precise answers, but media interface sucks.

We like this a lot. Its easy to play youtube and watch movies in Netflix while cooking instead of carrying Mobile. Had nice sound

Got this after my Echo Spot flaked out... it started to flicker and jump on screen. Well, I had Geek Squad protection that was going to expire the following month so even under this quarantine, I had to go in and return the Echo Spot and was offered to get the Echo Show 5 or 8. It was recommended to go with the 8 but I was afraid it'd be too big where I wanted to put it. Both were on sale, so that was a big plus...!!! It's a little big, but I've gotten used to it and was able to get it up and running in no time. I have the original Echo Show (10") and love all the Amazon Alexa line, so far...!!!

Excellent image and sound quality. A great device to communicate with family/friends that you otherwise might not be able to see. Very easy to setup.

Love my Echo Show 8! Honestly I was extremely hesitant of allowing Alexa into my life, definitely thought of her coming into my life like she was a second wife, hated the idea. Eventually I gave in so that I could utilize the video calling feature to other Alexa devices and I'm so thankful I did. Now I'll admit that the "other woman" is in several of my rooms and even my car (absolutely love my Echo Auto!). This is actually the third Show I've bought and the 2nd Show 8.

Very happy with this smart speaker. Biught it as a gift for parents/grandparents. Very easy way to do video calls even for them. Sound quality is good as well.

Got this to replace first gen echo show. Design much better, does not look as clunky as first one. Great sound. Nice video display. Like the larger size.

Love the display size and all the help of Alexa. Turns off and on lights (smart bulbs),plays music,displays recipes and even tells me the weather.

I have a bedroom Show 5, a Show 10, and this 8 in a breakfast nook. Great balance of size, sound, and features. If you’re into the Amazon ecosystem these are great!

The display on the echo show 8 is really good when watching t.v and movies.....I would definitely recommend this to anyone.. it’s the perfect size

My wife originally wanted to buy a new fridge with a TV built-in so that she can watch shows on Hulu while she's making dinner. Our current fridge is old (15 years), but it still looks and works great. I decided to buy one of these for her to see if I can get the fridge idea out of her head. When I put it in the kitchen, she was not a happy camper. She even told me to take it back and didn't understand why I would event spend money on this. It took just one week of use for her to change her mind completely. She now says she doesn't need a fridge with a TV, and now even wants to buy the bigger echo show. She wants to move this one to the basement kitchen. The audio on this thing is incredible. This is a great product and is so useful in the kitchen for recipes and news updates, and weather, timers, video chat, etc. And I got it on sale. No complaints!

Amazon Echo show 8 seems to just meet basic expectations. I can view my Ring cameras, BUT; I can not view past videos. I do not have the same capabilities that I do from my phone. I still need to seek another device. Three way video calling: Skype seems to offer 200 free minutes of calling? I have not seen what the cost is after that. I would have liked to be able to make three way calls with my echo. Home Screen: The home screen is one selected picture. Where is the option for the home screen to randomly select a photo in my album? Echo Show Screen: Where is the option for the home screen to automatically shutoff after a selected period of time? I am having to constantly tell Alexa to turn off the home screen. The light is not something I want on in a bedroom all the time. The Echo show 8 still leave a LOT to be desired.
