The Echo Show 8 works fantastic in conjunction with my multiple echo dots

Functions as expected. Could benefit from a full size CLOCK option though with how big the display is, i thought it would take more advantage of this. A lot of the 'addon' apps aren't that great. If your familiar with the amazon ecosystem its probably a good choice for you.

I purchased the Echo 8 to pair with a Blink video doorbell. I hoped that when the doorbell sensed motion that it would immediately display video on the Echo. It does not. It sends a notification that motion has been detected. You then have to tell Echo to show what the doorbell camera is seeing. The process takes so long that the action is well in the past by the time it’s visible. This is unsatisfactory for home security use. In addition, the Echo occasionally failed to respond to the wake word. Alexa often completely misunderstood questions and instructions. If you don’t mind the frequent Amazon advertisements that flash on the screen it might meet your needs.

Like the 5 better due to variable screen options. Other options are good.

Fun, useful device with some quirks. Still, worth owning.

I think there wasn’t enough wifi at the nursing home were my mom was living. With the Covid-19, her nursing home was going into lock down. We were hoping with this we could at least see her face when calling her. Just didn’t work☹️

I have 2 echos and this one for my kitchen. I never use the video.

Does all the things it's supposed to .... not super easy to manipulate the screen. "Touch" recognition is not the best. Have to press really hard & just in the right areas it seems. But has all decent basic functionality of an Amazon Echo product

Great if you already have an echo. No complaints!!

I like that I’m able to listen to music and look up recipes, however, my main purpose for it I can’t figure out. I cant make calls to anyone from phone to Echo. Also i thought i could view the area without having someone pick up the Echo. So Disappointed
